My visit was great. Everyone was friendly. The front counter receptionist, the dentist, and especially the hygienist Camellia that did my cleaning. Great place to come for your dental needs.
I'll be honest.. reading the reviews here made me nervous, but after less than ideal experiences with offices that accepted medi-cal (I'm a full time student), I was in desperate need to find a better option for a failed root canal and active, chronic tooth infection. I'm SO SO glad I took the leap and came to this clinic. Dr. Min and her team are EXTREMELY transparent, communicative, kind, efficient, and most importantly of all, patient-centered and attentive. They asked me many times if I had questions. I was forthcoming about finances, so they spelled out what I would be paying out of pocket, financing options, and the full timeline of what was recommended. And no pressure in the whole process. The part that stands out to me the most is Dr. Min's clear confidence and proficiency in her craft. I've had a lot of painful and scary experiences since childhood in a dentist chair, and this was by far the best experience I've had. There was a firmness to her touch and her work that was confident and grounded. The juxtaposition is kind of funny.. I've never felt simultaneously comforted through the pain/pressure of the needles and operation while hearing/smelling/tasting all the horrific stuff that comes with tooth surgery. I'm honestly so grateful for the experience in the office. I'll be back a couple more times in the next year to complete this tooth implant process. It's weird to say that I'm almost looking forward to it..? It's a big indicator for me that I can be taken care of effectively here, and I'm so grateful for that. Thanks again to Dr. Min and the team!
Had a regularly scheduled cleaning today at Alameda Landing Dentistry. Visit was on time, office was clean and staff was friendly. Special mention for dental hygienist Camellia Lau. She was patient with all my questions, was a pro in doing all the cleaning procedures and very personable. Good visit considering it was a dentist appointment!
I would have given this dental office a no star review had it not been for Malalai who was my savior. I visited the facility about a month ago to get crowns on two front teeth impacted due to a fall. The initial dentist ground the teeth down to virtually nothing and and left an inexperienced dental assistant to put in temporary crowns until the permanent crowns arrived. She left cement on the back of my teeth, one tooth was crooked, and the other fell completely out. In fact, I almost choked on it and was left with a horrific looking whittled down front tooth with I a graduation coming up the following week. Upon returning to the Alameda Dental, , Malalai saved the day by putting in another set of temporary teeth after which time she learned that my permanent teeth had arrived. She then removed the temporary teeth which she had worked so hard on and installed the permanent teeth. They look great even though I will need to return for a better fit. Malalai insisted on me not leaving until I was totally satisfied. She was the ultimate in professionalism and represented Alameda Dental in an excellent manner. She's deserves the 5 stars.
I can't speak to anyone else's experience, but I'm surprised by the many negative comments. I came to Alameda Landing as a new patient. First of all, they accepted my insurance, which practically nobody else did. I knew I needed an extraction from a very old root canal that was giving me issues. I have been seeing a very reputable private practitioner for years who, along with a highly reputable endodontist, were unable to fix my issue, and in fact thought I would need at least one more, if not two, root canals or extractions for the neighboring teeth, in addition to the one already planned. ALD saw me quickly. They had far better x-ray machinery that gave a 3-D rendering of my teeth and infection. I was not charged for this examination. Dr. L was very thorough, polite and kind, explaining that further root canals or extractions seemed unlikely. In other words, she suggested *less* work than my long-time dentist was recommending. They saw me quickly after the consultation, gave me a few permanent replacement options--not cheap, but cheaper than a few other offices I spoke with. The extraction went smoothly, barely felt a thing. They had the temporary stay plate ready. The staff are very helpful. I'm glad I found this team. I plan to stay with them not only for the implant and crown replacement, but as my regular dentist as well.
Robbers. I went in with just wanting the covered X-rays for initial visit and they lied saying there was no extra costs but mow they want to charge me $404.00. I believe they are trying to get as much money from me as possibly because I chose to walk out when they presented me with the costs for a deep cleaning that later I found out was much higher than what my insurance co-pay should be . They tried to add on to my bill without telling what parts were covered by my insurance and what parts were not. Instead they tried to convince me by lowering the price from $1,370 to $1,200 but not to equal the $250 that it should cost for the deep cleaning without their add ons.
