Mountain Top Periodontics & Implants - Colorado Springs

I went here right around the beginning of February , and I waited for full recovery from SFOT surgery and to see the change before making a review. It is now mid July. I paid $3,000 for that surgery and was verbally promised that my goal of a centered midline with my braces would be completed by May (aka my time would be cut in half). During the SFOT surgery they removed a molar and put a tad above it to be able to pull my teeth. I can confirm that nothing has moved yet. The gap is still there and the midline has not shifted, so time clearly is not cut in half. During SFOT, they just slits into the jaw that confirms movement, and they see the gums back together, the recovery process is you cannot brush your teeth for about a month (only non-alcoholic mouthwash), and then you can only brush them a certain way for the next month, with a promised teeth cleaning due to the bacteria build up. I will say I followed the recovery process exactly. For a $3,000 surgery, I had the incorrect expectation that they would provide the mouthwash (they require you to go find the one they suggest), that they would clean my teeth later on (they barely cleaned my teeth there was tons of buildup), that the gums would heal (they heal bulky and look hideous), and that the employees would be kind (front staff were incredibly rude every time I went in). Take what you’d like from my review, but I honestly don’t even know why I got the surgery since nothing was followed through, I have not seen results I wanted, I should have simply gotten my tooth pulled at that point. Nothing looks different, just damaged.

This will be my first time having a periodontic procedure and so far have not had the surgery, but up until now I have found the team and the communication exceptional. The detailed communication and sincere interactions with staff have gone a long way to put my mind at ease and know exactly what to expect for the procedure. Very impressed so far.

I visited for a consultation with the recommendation of my general dentist and a previous oral surgeon. The visit was very informative and gave me a clear, detailed treatment plan for the next few steps. Dr. Weaver did an excellent job of showing me the x-ray and photographic evidence to support his recommendations, which goes a long way to build trust for me. I had many, many questions, and Dr. Weaver was very patient explaining to me, and so was his very knowledgeable and perceptive assistant. The person who brought in the financial info related to the treatment plan was also extremely helpful, and laid out my choices and the process clearly. I was concerned about Dr. Weaver's status as a specialist in regard to insurance billing, and every question was answered thoroughly and clearly. The doctors are professional, highly skilled, kind and as compassionate as the office staff!The office is pristine, warm and welcoming and the equipment state-of-the-art! I’ve been seeing Denise, their wonderful hygienist for 10 years for regular periodontal cleanings/maintenance. She is the best periodontal hygienist I’ve ever had!
