Tru Family Dental

This was my first visit to Tru Family Dental (Elmwood Park) and it was by far my best dental visit. After over 25 years with my previous dental office I was nervous about going somewhere new, but I wanted to stay with my dentist so I followed him here. I must say, it was the most wonderful experience! The front desk receptionists were welcoming and friendly. The office was clean, modern, and complete with everything needed to provide the best care. And there was no wait time. My hygienist, Matti (sp?) was excellent! She took the time to explain everything, and she did the most thorough cleaning I’ve ever had! She answered every question I had with patience and she was engaging in conversation that allowed me to feel like my oral health mattered and wasn’t just a job she had to do. As for my dentist, Dr. Mukherjee, he is the best. Clearly I trust him as I followed him when my previous dental office closed. He is a dentist who truly cares for his patients. No wonder he’s now with Tru Family Dental. Everyone here lives up to that name. The care is “true” (trusted). The ambiance and energy from the team feels like family. And the dental care is top tier. I’m happy to now a part of this “family”.

My son was nervous as always going to a dentist, they made him feel welcomed and reassured. He got a cleaning and fluoride; X-rays and when we left he said “mom I like them, I felt like I was there for 10 minutes but it was an hour “ because the dental hygienist was very personable with both him and me, and that eased my sons anxiety of being at the dentist !

Very disappointing experience. I asked multiple times if my X-rays were covered by my insurance, and they assured me they were. Later, they called to say they weren’t covered, even though they already had my insurance information on file. The front desk was also very rude and offered no solution. Be careful and verify everything directly with your insurance before getting any services here.

Warm kind and friendly. Everyone is knowledgeable top notch up to date equipment. They care for their patients. Highly recommend going there. Thank you for making me feel comfortable and safe.

My first visit went extremely well. No wait, friendly staff, clean and professional, helped explain procedures and the cleaning was actually delightful never thought I’d say that about a dentist!

Professional and friendly staff. I didn’t have to wait to be attended, I was seen exactly at the time I was scheduled. X-rays were explained to me well and so did the doctor in going over treatment plans. I’m very satisfied with my experience here definitely coming back.

I only have great things to say about Tru Dental. My family and I have been patients for a little over a year. Our hygiene visits have been very pleasant and thorough. Matilde was our hygienist. She is super friendly and great at her job. I saw Dr. Tejal Patel for an extraction. Let’s just say she knows what she is doing. The procedure was over before I knew it. I have zero complications and zero discomfort. They are up to date with technology as well. All I can say is I highly recommend Tru Dental for all your dental needs.
