Wray W Chaffin II, DMD

I have been a patient at this practice since 2003. I have had extensive dental work over the years, spending literally thousands of dollars. I moved from the area 20 years ago and have still continued to drive over 5 hours to get dental work done by Dr. Chaffin. He is an amazing dentist. I have tried to go to other dentists, but no one compares to him, so I drive. I recently had to have a root canal at an endodontist in my area, I now need a crown on this tooth. Every crown in my mouth, (almost all my teeth) have had crowns by Dr. Chaffin, so naturally I wanted to go back to him. I called to make an appointment and was told I had to wait 6 months, I booked the appointment but then cancelled it because I didn't think I should wait that long and would find a local dentist, well that didn't work out so I called back to get another appointment and was informed I could not make an appointment because I had not been there in 4 years, I told her I moved away but had been getting cleanings and had a recent root canal at endodontist where I had full mouth x-rays and cleaning records I could have sent. She said I couldn't make an appointment until she got them, I said that's funny because I already made an appointment 6 months ago and then cancelled it, did the rules change? She claims to have no record of that, accused me of lying about it. At this point I am frustrated; I have never had to deal with this kind of red tape in the past, the office staff was amazing and always remembered me and were great when I called for an appointment, regardless of how much time had passed. So, this one-star review is not for Dr. Chaffin, it is for his front office staff, that I guess he is ok with since this is not the only negative review I see in here for poor service and screw ups in the front. Dr. Chaffin if you are reading this, please get me an appointment. I have been loyal to you for 23 years and I really need a crown.

I had a dentist appointment today at 10:45 when I went up there they said they couldn't even find me in the system and then all that woman you're saying up there when she said she was sorry she didn't try to make me a appointment or nothing I wouldn't go to this dentist because those people are very rude and lie to your face

Dr. Chaffin is good at what he does. Poor PR by the administrative staff, management, and dentist. Don't look to be told the what and why of your treatment plan. The office seems to expect blind faith from its clients.

I can't Thank Dr Chaffin enough. I had to have a root canal done on my front left tooth. The procedure was absolutely painless and then he fitted me for a temporary crown. My permanent crown came in and he took his time to make sure it was a perfect fit. Mr. Chaffin I Thank you so much and I highly recommend him to anyone!

I would highly recommend Dr. Chaffins dentist office to anyone. The front desk ladies greet you with smiling faces and are so friendly. I had a crown come off that I had only had done about three years ago. I called them to make an appointment after not wanting to return to the same dentist as before and they had no problem fitting me in with an appointment in only two weeks. He had said my crown was not done right and fixed it to the best of his ability to last as long as possible. They we're all so very friendly and done an outstanding job. I will be returning!
