I switched to GB family dental after a horrible experience at my previous dentist. They were beyond welcoming, supportive, and kind throughout the whole process. Dr. Ebrahim was very personable and sent hand written post card in the mail. I highly suggest their team.
I was extremely nervous when I learned that my son needed his first cavity filled. My son is Autistic, and I worried about how he would tolerate the procedure given his sensory sensitivities. From the moment we arrived, the dental hygienist and dentist were absolutely phenomenal. They took the time to show him each tool they would be using and gently allowed him to explore them beforehand, which made a huge difference. Everyone we interacted with was kind, patient, and highly professional. What stood out most to me was how well they prepared for his visit. The seating was thoughtfully arranged in front of a large window with a beautiful view, creating a calm and welcoming environment. But more than anything, what truly meant the most was that the dentist saw my son and not just his Autism. She spoke directly to him, explained what she was doing every step of the way, and helped him understand what to expect afterward. Even writing this makes me emotional. We had such an incredible experience, and I wholeheartedly recommend this office to anyone looking for compassionate and inclusive dental care.
I usually don’t leave reviews but this really bothered me and I feel like people should know. I had braces here a few years ago and we paid around $2000. After they came off they gave me plastic retainers that were very cheap and kept cracking. Instead of offering a better option (like the old-school metal retainer), they just charged $100 every time for another one. Eventually my teeth started shifting again and I went back to ask why. They instantly blamed me and said “well you must not be wearing your retainers…” even though I was literally using the broken pieces because I couldn’t afford another $100 every time they cracked. They told me I had two choices: buy another retainer or pay again to get braces put back on. They never once offered to fix it for free even though my teeth were clearly moving because the retainers they gave me were low quality. The only reason I agreed to a new retainer was because they told me they still had my original scan, so the new one would pull my teeth back into place. Then later they admitted they actually lost my scan, so the new retainer would just hold my teeth in their current (slightly crooked) position… which is pointless. Also one time I was a month behind on one payment and they refused to even replace my rubber bands during an adjustment..they literally sent me home with the same ones. That shows where their priorities are. Honestly they care more about getting paid than actually caring about their patients or results. I wouldn’t go back and I wouldn’t recommend them Also just wanna mention this was happening from the time of the old office until they moved to the new location
Let me start off by saying I wouldn't recommend to anyone. Most of the staff, our pleasant people to deal with a few that shouldn't have their job hence attitudes due to their rescheduling. fee of now $50. I have token. All three of my kids away from this dentist office. People have lives. I own a business. My wife is a director in the medical field. My wife was scheduled to take my children. Got pulled into a meeting and could not? They don't work around Their $50 rescheduling fee, which shows me this place, is all about greed and the money that they can make off you. One of my children had a procedure scheduled and he had to miss. And they had already billed the insurance and were rushing us to get in there. But no I did not want to report them. Now, I may have changed my mind.
This is a great dental practice. Friendly people. Great results and dentists that truly care about their results. My smile, thanks to Dr Ebrahim is the best it has ever been. She actually calls to check up on her patients. Who does that? They go above and beyond and don't settle for good enough.
I would like to start by saying I am one of those people that are frightened to death at the mention of a dental appointment. That being said I would like to invite anyone who shares those fears as well as anyone looking for a new dentist, please give Grand Blanc Family Dental Group a try. I will guarantee that it will be the best healthcare decision you have ever made. Dr. Shay and her staff are the most kindhearted, compassionate and most importantly highly skilled individuals in the dental field that I have ever dealt with. I just finished a much needed and long overdue procedure on several teeth that has made me feel like a new person & want to smile again and again and again. I have had several people complementing me on my great smile which I would not have without Dr. Shay and her staffs great counsel. I truly love this dentist and her crew and believe that when you give them a try you will feel the same.
