I had the best experience with Dr Sophia Kim and her staff today. A positive and caring attitude makes all the difference in a dentist - I just discovered this today because this office is that much better than the other dental offices I’ve been a patient at.
Robinwood Dental provided the best experiences I've had at a dentist office in many years. I went in anxious due to a bad experience with a previous dentist, but Monica and Dr. Kim both were amazing at my two appointments getting fillings done. They were also able to accommodate my schedule and get me in early. Highly recommend!
I have been a patient since 2016 and have always had wonderful experiences at the Hagerstown location. Unfortunately, during my most recent visit, I just felt as thought I was an inconvenience. Upon check in I was immediately greeted by a middle aged woman with dirty blonde hair and glasses who had a very unkind demeanor-like I was bothering her when asking to check in for my appointment. Sadly reading the reviews online this seems to be a recurring issue.
Robinwood Dental has friendly dentists and also polite hygienists. However, I wanted to make you aware, that as far as billing, please make sure you review your bills. Tracie , in billing, said that the one service on the bill is usually not put through insurance. She said this isn’t covered; they usually do not pay us for this, so we do not put it through. I would owe it to them. The checkout desk also told me , to please pay the balance before leaving. We do not bill insurance for this, because they do not pay. Look at your bill to see wording of “ no bill insurance.” This is unacceptable, since Robinwood had a contract with the insurance company. They tried to balance bill us for a service they provided. We have all our documents from Robinwood, to prove it. We requested that she please put it through insurance, so now the EOB states that the extra fee “ is part of the fee” of the total service. We did not owe the extra amount ,beyond the normal cleaning services. PLEASE REVIEW YOUR INVOICES CAREFULLY. IF YOUR INSURANCE HAS A CONTRACT WITH ROBINWOOD AND ROBINWOOD ASKED YOU TO PAY AN EXTRA AMOUNT, YOU MAY BE DUE A REFUND. FYI- If your dentist has a contract with your insurance company they have to live with the decisions of the insurance company. If they submit a claim and your insurance company decides to deny the claim ,your insurance company will also establish an amount of the claim for the patient's responsibility. If your insurance says patient's responsibility is $0.00 , your dentist will have a hard time collecting from you. You have a legal recourse to not pay, or ask for a refund, unless you already signed an agreement negating the agreement your dentist has with the insurance company. If the dentist is a participating provider , some amounts would be written off in full, hence why they don't want to bill it and instead wish to pass the fees along to you. Accepting insurance and participating in it, are 2 separate things, so make sure they are specific, if you don’t know. If they are participating, then they are violating their contract with your insurance. If they only “accept” your insurance, then they are not required to submit any claims….but you can! Be your own advocate.
Had bad tooth and working out of town, my wife goes to this dentist and they were able to fit me in their schedule within 48 hrs (AMAZING) Both the dental assistant and Dentist were polite and caring and did excellent keeping me informed of the procedure and it was quick. After 24 hrs since ,my pain is gone and I’m back to normal THANK YOU
