Overall a good experience except when it mattered most. I lost my husband suddenly so I called to close his account and have my final appointment before I had to leave town very quickly. Unfortunately the staff who took care of me in person were not alerted to my crisis so I had no other choice but to explain the loss standing at your reception desk (the receptionist could not understand why my future appointment had been canceled and I was waiting there while she looked into it for at least five stressful minutes). In contrast, I had the opposite experience at my vet and at my primary care in Cruces. All staff who took care of me in those settings had been told in advance of my specific circumstances in order to make everything as easy and compassionate as possible. I wanted to share this feedback because I wouldn’t want others going through a crisis to have to go through this unnecessarily.

Best dental office I have ever been to. Everyone is friendly and are dedicated to their field. I always feel like my dental health and comfort are their priority. I highly recommend them!

I rarely write reviews, especially for anything related to dental care, simply because it’s never been an experience I look forward to. But during a layover and delays in Atlanta, I finally decided to compose my thoughts after my appointment, at the end of June, with Helena, I felt she genuinely deserved recognition. Helena delivered an exceptional level of care. Her cleaning was thorough, precise, and done with a level of professionalism that immediately stood out. She offered thoughtful recommendations and explained each step in a way that was both educated and easy to understand. It was clear she wasn’t just promoting services, she was promoting true dental hygiene and long-term health. What impressed me most was her ability to balance professionalism with personable communication. Our conversation stayed centered on her work, yet she shared just enough about herself to make the experience comfortable, engaging, and even enjoyable. She maintained that balance effortlessly, which speaks volumes about her character and her skill. Helena presents herself as not only a highly capable dental hygienist, but as someone well‑educated, motivated, and genuinely passionate about what she does. It’s obvious she goes above and beyond her job description. From her enthusiasm to her knowledge, you can tell this profession is a stepping stone toward even greater things. She carries herself like someone with a bright future ahead and I have no doubt she’ll succeed in whatever opportunities she chooses to pursue. For someone like me who dislikes dental visits, this was the first time I walked away feeling grateful for the experience. Helena is a credit to her profession and an asset to the practice.

Painless, comfortable crown prep, very high tech and easy to undergo. Enjoyed watching TV while in the chair. My temp crown feels like my real tooth! Sure to enjoy Dr Patti and her professional, caring staff each and every visit!

I had my very first filling at University Family Dental with Dr. Martin, and it was an outstanding experience! The procedure was completely pain-free. Dr. Martin was incredibly patient, gentle, and explained every step so I always knew what to expect. Even the little details, like placing a cotton ball under my protective glasses for extra comfort, showed how much she truly cares about her patients. The entire office has a calm, welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend Dr. Martin and University Family Dental!

My friend went here, every aspect was horrible. They didn’t use her insurance to cover the check up, even though they said they accept her insurance. She has been regularly getting her teeth cleaned somewhere else, but when she wanted to get her teeth cleaned here they refused to do it unless she got a deep cleaning that she didn’t need. They were also trying to get her to do a bunch of other unnecessary things. Her experience was so bad even though they “accept” her insurance she won’t go back. My dad went here here before too and had a similar experience.
