Littleton Family Dental

About 4 yrs ago I was looking for a new dentist and Littleton Family Dental (Dr Casson) was recommended. My experience couldn’t have been any better. To date I have had an implant, a partial, crowns, a bridge and of course extractions. I can’t say enough positive things about the care provided by their medical professionals and office personnel. My only hope now is that I never have to look for another dentist.

I’ve now had two frustrating experiences with billing at this office. Last December they did extensive work but failed to send basic documentation my insurance requested for months, despite my repeated follow-ups. Today they tried to make me pay out of pocket upfront for a 100% covered SRP, claiming confusion about codes submitted from a cleaning I had elsewhere in March. My insurance confirmed it’s fully covered with no upfront payment required, and other local dental offices confirmed the same. When I inquired about this, they told me that "insurance lies to us everyday." I don't think insurance is the one lying in this instance. I was able to have the work completed later that afternoon at another nearby dental office without any of this tomfoolery and my insurance covered it with no questions asked. This feels like shady billing practices. I won’t be back.

My husband and I are New Patients to the practice. We both had our 6 month cleaning with the hygienist, Kathy she was very professional and gentle. Dr. Casson did the check up and was very gentle as well. The office staff is a very cheerful group of ladies. I am happy to recommend Littleton Family Dental office, because it was a very good experience.

So glad I found this dentist online after a bad experience elsewhere! They are incredibly patient, sweet, and never push unnecessary treatments—they simply explain what they see and provide recommendations. I love that they send a clear treatment plan with estimated costs upfront. Plus, they have been wonderful with my daughter’s two toddlers. Highly recommend!

I’ve had three separate negative experiences with this dental office, all due to extremely poor communication and unprofessional management. On multiple occasions, my appointments were canceled without any proper notice. No phone call, no voicemail, no text, and no follow-up. I only found out because I arrived at the office myself the morning of my appointment that took 6 months to get. That is completely unacceptable for a healthcare provider. Patients schedule dental care around work and family commitments, and the least a practice can do is communicate clearly and responsibly. Having a staff member out is not an excuse for not communicating to clients their appointment has been canceled. What’s even more concerning is the response when this is addressed. The practice manager presents herself with a sweet, charming demeanor, but when concerns are raised, her tone shifts to dismissive and condescending. Instead of taking accountability, she minimizes the issue and makes you feel unreasonable for expecting basic professional courtesy. After three separate incidents, this no longer feels like a mistake, it feels like a pattern. I’m honestly surprised this office maintains high reviews. Reliable communication and respect for patients’ time are fundamental in healthcare, and this practice has repeatedly failed in both areas. I would not recommend this office to anyone who expects professionalism and follow-through.
