I’ve seen several dentists over the years, and unfortunately this has been one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve had. My biggest issue wasn’t necessarily the dental work—it was the lack of communication and customer service. I had two teeth extracted, and weeks later I still had pieces of tooth or bone working their way through my healing gums. Maybe that’s normal, but no one ever told me it could happen or what to expect. A simple conversation beforehand would have made a big difference. After that and the healing complete, I had a digital scan done for a partial. I waited two weeks with my missing teeth, only to find out the partial wasn’t even close to fitting and had to be remade. Then, after waiting another two weeks, I received a call canceling my appointment with no new date in sight. I understand that things don’t always go as planned, but I never felt like my time mattered. They had no problem requiring and collecting my payment upfront, but I didn’t get the same sense of urgency when it came to my care or keeping me informed. Overall, I left feeling like the patient experience wasn’t a priority. Better communication, follow-through, and respect for a patient’s time would have made all the difference.
I called for a refill on my prescription for pain. They never called me back. I called them throughout day they said they would call by 6pm I asked if the dentist was even in they said they didn't know. I called back the next day they kept saying they will call me back, never did. I called back. They said they would send a message to the manager and mark it urgent never called me back still. I gave up and had to just deal with the pain while at work. I feel very disrespected. I paid a lot of money to Grove. I've been going there my whole life. I guess the new takeover is not good with doing their job. This is not okay. I am a human being who wasnt treated like one. Im wondering if this is how they treat everyone? I also was hung up on when I tried calling. I gave up and just delt with the pain and still am. Thanks for making me feel unimportant. You guys just take the money and kicked me to the curb. No apology was given.
I was about to go on vacation and I had some pain. Dentist hardly looked into the pain i was explaining. Tapped on my teeth. Told me nothing was wrong and sent me.on my way. Endured the pain through out my 10 day trip over seas. The moment I got back I saw a different Dentist, and they immediately sent me for oral surgery. Ismile dental failed me when I needed them most. If I could give less than 1 star I would. Never EVER again. *also charged my insurance for a cleaning I never received. There are so many dentists in the area - definitely skip this one.
I saw a dentist at the Lombard office on 3/18/26 for a evaluation for a broken denture. The dentist told me I would receive a call with a price estimate.....I'm still waiting for the call as today 04/04/26 but I did receive a bill for the incomplete evaluation consultation. I would highly recommend staying away from Grove Dental.
I had an excellent experience at Grove Dental. Dr. Pankhuri Goel was truly exceptional — incredibly knowledgeable, thoughtful, and patient. She took the time to explain everything in detail, answered all my questions, and made me feel completely at ease. It’s rare to find a dentist who combines expertise with such genuine care. Jennifer, my hygienist, was equally wonderful — kind, thorough, and attentive, and she made the entire visit so comfortable. She shared personal stories, we had great conversation and laughs, and she somehow made a dental visit feel relaxed and enjoyable. The staff overall was great, and I also had a short but very pleasant interaction with Kaitlyn, who was warm and easy to talk to. Highly recommend Grove Dental for anyone looking for a practice that truly puts patients first.
