Longmont Modern Dentistry and Orthodontics

Best wishes and many thanks to the amazing dental assistants here. They are kind, passionate, and hard workers. 0 stars for my experience under Ganeev Mattus care and the follow up with the owner of the practice. Bottom teeth: I had a bottom tooth that got infected and I opted for an extraction. I was making it a point to not look at the numbing needle so I wouldn't get nauseous. After not waiting long enough after the numbing gel, Mattu says "Now this is my insurance policy!" and holds the shot infront of my face while laying on the chair. I winced and closed my eyes, he never apologized. He was heavy handed through the whole procedure, it was hard to keep my jaw slightly open. The stitches and bone graft failed (I did go boarding a few days after but I took it easy/didnt fall - the first thing he asked was if I fell during my follow up when I mentioned it failed!?). Ive had an extraction before and this ones taking about twice as long to heal. The procedure and aftercare instructions were lacking to none. The whole procedure felt rushed and tense due to Ganeev Mattu. Top teeth: He gave me two crowns. I have never been so upside-down in a dental chair. He was extremely heavy handed again to the point where, according to him, "There was so much blood.". I have fairly good oral hygiene and dont normally bleed. A couple days later my back tooth was aching. I ended up needing two root canals thru the crowns due to him, in my opinion, not being sterile enough and not taking care during the procedure. I was swishing with warm salt water at home. The infection was at my roots. He told me to call him if I needed a root canal, even the specialists had a bit of a tough time with my roots so I cant imagine how botched it would've been with Ganeev Mattu. Other: When checking tooth sensitivity he laid the air on HARD and didnt "warm" the tooth back up after - completely put me in unnecessary pain for this test. He's awkward with his assistants. It all felt rushed. I feel like my teeth and mouth have been violated. Edit: Ganeev Mattu called me to talk about my experience however, it quickly turned into him saying he will get his lawyers involved if I dont remove "the sterile" part AND I will not receive a refund for the poor and painful experience I had unless I do. I tried to record him saying that but he said he doesnt consent to being recorded so, an opinion is free speech. I would like to say that this experience is ONLY for Mattu, no other dentists here or the overall practice. No meaningful/truthful apologies where given to me. Edit #2: The owner of the practice called after Mattu couldn't convince me to take my review down. His dialog options for gaslighting me about my review followed in the line of Mattus. He told me that my review takes away money from the workers there instead of defending me against my bad dental experience. Even he "wasn't able" to refund me for any of Mattus bad work and bad experiences that cost over $2,000, the refund was for a composite filling prior $288.00. There were no apologies or solutions given other then reminding people of hygiene practices during their monthly meeting. Insane deflection, avoid this practice (until its under honest ownership)!!

My experiences at Modern Dentistry have been very positive. The check in with Salvador was welcoming and professional, Stephanie was the dental assistant and was so kind and reassuring. Dr Mattu was gentle and caring. I’m always pleased with my visits and I’m very anxious and scared. They all made it seem less today

I would give 10 stars!! I was very anxious about going to a dentist but it was required to get clearance for an upcoming surgery. I needed a lot of work done in a limited amount of time. They had to schedule around my work days as well. I am amazed at how efficient everyone was. All very friendly and professional. Emily, Alec Hector and Joss were working with Dr. Burana like a well oiled machine (Bentley). Dr. Burana is the most excellent doctor. He, and the staff were gentle in tone and calmed my anxiety. I am so grateful I chose Longmont Modern Dentistry and Orthodontics ….a very positive experience.

I moved from out of state and needed a new dentist. I chose Longmont Modern Dentistry due to the stellar reviews, and the experience lived up to it! Check-in with Alec was easy, Stephanie, the hygienist gave me a great cleaning, and Dr. Umbarger provided a thorough exam. I’m glad I chose this place as my new dentist.

I just had my first appointment with Longmont Modern Dentistry and had such a great experience that I plan to continue to be a patient moving forward. I want to thank and express my gratitude to Dr. Umbarger, Stephanie, and Hannah, who were absolutely wonderful and the primary reason I plan to return for all of my dental needs. I had a wonderful experience at Longmont Modern Dentistry and wanted to take a moment to highlight two exceptional staff members. From the moment I walked in, Emily at the front desk made me feel completely at ease. She handled my check-in and check-out smoothly and professionally, but what truly stood out was a moment of genuine kindness I witnessed. An elderly woman came in clearly confused and lost, and Emily stepped right up with patience and warmth to help her get her bearings. It was a small thing, but it said everything about the kind of person she is. My hygienist, Kortney, was absolutely outstanding. She was thorough, professional, and had such a caring, gentle manner throughout the entire appointment. She took the time to explain what she was doing and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. It’s rare to find a dental office where the entire team genuinely seems to care; not just about your teeth, but about you as a person. Highly recommend!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Crown fabricated on site quickly and applied efficiently. Finished earlier than predicted. Having had crowns done before, I was impressed by how well it fit immediately and got to see how perfectly it aligned on my tooth on the X-rays. Procedure was explained ahead of time and during the procedure. I have full confidence in Dr Umbarger and her assistant, Diana. As a new patient at Longmont Modern Dentistry I am very impressed!

I have been coming here for a couple of years and they are always very professional and kind , and do good work. Pricing is very reasonable too. Today I got a cleaning and irrigation and both the front desk person Emily and my hygienist Samantha did a great job. I always feel really good and clean when I leave :)

After my previous dentist office failed to see a large issue, I came to Longmont Modern Dentistry and right away they were able to tell I needed to get some pretty serious dental work done that had me REALLY nervous. Dr. Mattu and his staff were really supportive and reassuring during my entire procedure. I appreciate them so much and would recommend this office to anyone looking for high quality dental work with down to earth staff!
