Dental Excellence of Memphis

I have been seeing Dr. Lindsey and the DH Kodi for sometime now. I love their professionalism and how thorough they both are when providing services. I have referred family and friends there. The whole office appeared to be a family. Even the ladies at the front desk, Ms. Donna etc. were amazing. Something has changed at the practice and I am not sure what it is; however, I do know it is not what it has been. So many people have retired or have left. The ladies that sit at the front desk are not extremely pleasant at all. Even though Dr. Lindsey’s service is still superior, the aura of the office appears off. Literally I had a $1200 and some change bill. I paid $600 and I am having a disagreement with the person at the front for $15 because of a new policy as of July 1, 2026. REALLY!?!?! I just wrote a $600 check and you are hassling me about $15 when I have another appointment to pay the balance. Ms. Donna would have never. I did not receive a phone call about my payment prior to my appointment which was odd. It’s just a mess. I hope that the office finds its way back to that warm, patient- friendly atmosphere that it once had. If not, I will have to find another dentist. 😞

I had a five star visit yesterday at Dental Excellence. I was there for my routine cleaning. I have had good experiences in past visits, but my visit yesterday was phenomenal. Kodi my dental hygienist was also phenomenal. She was gentle yet thorough. She took the time to explain what she was doing and gave me flossing tips, and tips to help remove stains from my teeth. Thank you Kodi!

The people at Dental Excellence are the best! Everyone was kind, thoughtful and professional. Dr. Tanner explained my options and took care of my problem tooth. I am so glad I found them.

Very kind people from the office staff to the dental techs. Dr Tanen saw my daughter and he was awesome with her. We are new in the area and she was giggling when she came out! Thanks Dr Tanen for making my daughter's visit pleasant. Let me not forget Elise so upbeat and friendly, that is different! It always helpful when the staff makes you feel welcome and she did just that. Thanks to the practice

I had a really great experience with Dr.Tanen. He has a sense of humor but there was no nonsense when it comes to his work. My teeth haven't looked or felt this amazing in years. Visit was quick and easy, pricing was reasonable. The staff there are very friendly!

My first experience back at the dentist after not going for yearrsss was spectacular!!! Dr. Tanen was very hands on and informational about the upcoming procedures I was to had. And the amazing costumer service from Elise when first walking was inviting and welcoming. Can't wait to go back!!!!

Really love Dental Excellence, everyone there is so nice and personable, makes you feel really comfortable from the start. I saw Dr. David Tanen, and he is a great dentist and a really friendly guy. My only thing is that he is pretty rough. I've never had a dentist yank my mouth around or slam tools into my teeth the way he did. I'm sure he knows what he's doing, but slowing down just a little and being a bit more careful would go a long way. Overall I'd still recommend the place. I just wanted to give an honest heads up for anyone who might be sensitive to that kind of thing.
