Dr. Hensen was recommended to me by 2 students at the school I work for and I wasn’t disappointed. The office is immaculate and the staff is friendly and efficient. April, the assistant couldn’t have been more knowledgeable, helpful and answered every question I had. I learned many valuable things about my own oral hygiene needs and even the structure of my mouth. I now have the best dentist in all of North Dakota, thanks to those 2 students!

We have always had exceptional service at SVDG. The minute you walk in the gals at the desk are smiling and welcoming. They always work hard to get you in when there’s an emergency, too. I’ve seen a few different Doctors since I started going to SVDG many, many years ago and they have always given me top notch dental care. They are thorough and very accommodating, as are the techs and hygienists. They make a point to relate on a personal level to each patient. My current dentist, Dr. Broderson is fantastic. You will not be sorry if you switch to SVDG for your dental needs.

The receptionists are especially wonderful they always take the time to explain billing details clearly and go over every payment option without making you feel rushed or uncomfortable. Dr. Neil is amazing! He takes the time to thoroughly explain everything, never makes you feel rushed, and always asks if you have questions or concerns before you leave. He genuinely cares about his patients and made me feel very taken care of during a stressful dental issue. The office is clean, organized, and runs smoothly, and everyone there makes going to the dentist feel much less stressful. It’s hard to find a dental office where you consistently feel comfortable and respected every single visit, but this place truly does that. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a dental office that is caring, honest, understanding, and great with families.

I had an in-office teeth whitening done here and was very disappointed with the results. The treatment lasted about 40 minutes, but I experienced gum irritation afterward (including what looks like a burn) and significant tooth sensitivity. The whitening came out uneven—some areas look very white while others are still yellow, especially near the gums. Instead of improving my smile, it has actually left me feeling extremely insecure about how my teeth look. When I raised my concerns, I didn’t feel they were properly addressed. For over $500, I expected better results, proper gum protection, and clearer aftercare guidance.

My experience was warm and friendly. The staff is amazing in an environment where most people are nervous/anxious to go to the dentist. I would recommend anyone to check out SVDG if you are wanting an amazing and friendly dental experience.

They were also very helpful when it came to explaining insurance and scheduling, which made the whole process stress-free. The dentist was equally amazing. Dr Neil was professional, kind, and clearly very experienced. He took the time to carefully examine everything and explain my dental health in a way that was easy to understand without ever feeling rushed. I really appreciated how he walked me through my options and focused on preventative care rather than just rushing through the appointment. It’s definitely clear why they’re voted the #1 dental office in Minot!
