If you want personalized, professional care and an excellent dental experience, Forever Family Dental is for you! And who wouldn't want that? You get to participate in a personalized plan to care for your teeth and dental health. The office is clean, professional, and I always feel welcome and very well taken care of. They are excellent at booking appointments as well as doing the hard research of what is and is not covered by your insurance. They always tell me about care that they recommend that isn't covered, and exactly what the cost will be so I can make good choices for my health. I also believe the dentist saved my husband's life when our previous doctor did not help him with a very serious and dangerous infection. She got him exactly the care he needed and on time.
I hate to leave negative reviews but after months of still having to deal with a poorly placed, and shaped crown I feel compelled to put this out there. I had a crown placed in the fall on one of my top teeth (incisor). The first one came back and was entirely off color wise. But the shape and fit were great. I made mention of that. So had to go another set of weeks with a temporary which was hanging by a thread. Both times. I could barely eat anything and had to be extremely ginger when brushing. The second permanent comes, and the color is better still off, but the fit was terrible. I mentioned it didnt feel right and the dentist insisted on placing it. I should have stuck to my guts and dealt with the crappy temp until it was right but I let her place it. I went a few weeks with it feeling off abd went back for her to take a look and she basically said I'll get used to it. Here we are 9 months later and it still off. The new dentist I found was able ti make it a little less problematic by shaving down a bit of the bulkiness in the back but it is noticeable on a daily basis. I dont even know what Im looking to get out of this because I would never go back to get work done there but maybe I can prevent this issue for others and remind you to follow your gut.
Would not recommend this office if you value your time. I came in for an appointment thinking that I was getting a cleaning and an exam like I have done at every dentist appt for the last 35 years. They took xrays, looked at my gums and told me the dentist would be in to see me. After waiting an hour and 20 minutes, the dentist still hadn't come in and I left, knowing I wasn't even getting the cleaning I came in for. The dentist called me after I left, claiming every initial consolation takes an hour and 20 minutes (ironically the amount of time I was left waiting) and they are very thorough which is why they examine your gums before deciding what type of cleaning you need. I have never seen an office that cant make that decision while they are cleaning your teeth. She also mentioned that they are very busy on Thursdays since she is the only dentist there but I would argue that if that is the case, you shouldn't book appointments so close together. And don't worry, they still billed my insurance for an exam even though I couldn't pick the dentist out of a lineup.
As someone that has had a lifetime fear of dentists (56m) Dr. Botica had me feeling at ease almost instantly. Any other dentist I’ve gone to just wanted to upsell services and not listen to your questions and concerns. With Dr. Botica she listens and recommends what your best options are. I had 6 teeth removed in one sitting and a flapper was already to cover the 4 front looks great. I have more work to go but crazy as it may sound looking forward to it. Thank you Dr. Botica for being so kind and supportive about my dental care.
Final Update: The lab did a great job on my implants and all of the staff were so very nice. They were understanding of my concerns and did every effort to make very happy with the final outcome. My new teeth look very nice and I’m very happy. I would recommend Forever Family Dental of New Lenox to all my friends and family members. Update: The dentist and office manager called me back and they were extremely apologetic. They working to correct the issues with the outsourced lab. Once see the final results and my permanent implants are in, I’ll repost the outcome. To be continued…. Zero stars doesn’t say enough on how upset I am with this place!!! They have cancelled my implant appointment three times with no explanation. I have been waiting 6 months to get my permanent implants. They cancelled and told me I have 15 mins to call them back because they closed in 15 mins to 5pm. I work until 5pm. If you can cancel your appointment less than 24 hours before your appointment they charge you money, well they owe me money!!!!
I can finally, confidently, give a 1-star review. If I could give none, I totally would. I will start to say that this establishment is the utter most worst. The main priority here at Forever Family Dental, is money. Yeah I just said that. It’s money. Dr. Botica is the most condescending person you’ll ever encounter. Very unprofessional as she told me I wasted her time because I don’t have dental insurance anymore and wanted to charge me over $300 for a procedure that wasn’t even done. Dr then lied and told me that my mouth was gonna blow up and I needed all this work done, which turns out, I don’t. Going to another dentistry, I have been able to get multiple opinions on what Dr. Botica told me. They all said she was wrong and what she was trying to do was unnecessary. I’ve now been able to get my mouth fixed and even more. I am extremely grateful that I got up and walked out of there as going to another dentistry, I have now overcame my dental anxiety that Dr. Botica and her staff enabled. They continued to try to bill me for an operation that wasn’t done, so I was left to try to get in contact with the office manager. And let me tell you. The office manager or whoever runs it, is a complete mess. You will never have anyone return your call from here. As soon as I mentioned my lawyer, they stopped. I proudly reported this business to the BBB, and the State Dental Board. DO NOT COME HERE To sit here and say you intend to offer appropriate treatment is crazy. You don’t even offer proper treatment and care to begin with when the Dr thinks it is okay to have exposed tooth nerve. DISCLAIMER If you start a process and a payment plan for a root canal, MAKE SURE. you are being charged accordingly. Dr Botica created a whole bill and started to charge me for a process of a root canal that wasn’t even fully finished. I paid for the portion that I could get done, and was forced to leave it unfinished from unprofessional staff. Which ultimately led the Dr to create a full bill for this procedure and wanted me to pay the rest that wasn’t done. No thanks. That is not how it works.
I’ve been a client at the New Lenox location for 3 years, Deana (Sp) has been my Dental Hygienist and she is superb! I’m always treated respectfully and my service has always been top-tier. The receptionist/front desk staff are friendly and the Dentist are thorough with excellent patient rapport. Thank you 🥰
