Pinole Hills Dental

Five stars. I cannot say enough good things about Janiah, the dental hygienist at Pinole Hill Dentistry. As a blind patient and someone with high dental anxiety, I was very nervous about finding a new dentist after having several difficult experiences elsewhere. Being a Medi-Cal patient also meant that my options were limited, so I was not sure what to expect. This turned out to be one of the best dental care experiences I have ever had. Janiah was kind, patient, respectful, and incredibly skilled. She explained what she was doing, checked in with me, and made me feel safe and cared for throughout the appointment. Her communication was clear and compassionate, which matters so much for patients with disabilities and for anyone who has anxiety around dental care. As both a public health professional and a patient, I deeply appreciate when health care workers understand that dignity, accessibility, and trust are part of good care. Janiah showed all of that. She treated me like a whole person, not just a patient in the chair. The dentist was also kind, and the overall experience at Pinole Hill Dentistry was very positive. But I especially want to recognize Janiah. She is truly one of the best dental hygienists I have ever had, and I am grateful for the care she provided. I will be back and I will be letting people know!

Excellent dentist that accepts Medi-Cal. There is plenty of parking, in the lot an on the street, everyone on staff is friendly, and I can tell this office is well organized. Dr. Singh and the dental assistant have excellent bedside manner. He listened to my concerns and he filled three small cavities, a chipped tooth, and evened out a filling that was too high (from a previous dentist) in about 45 minutes. It's hard to find good a dentist that take Medi-Cal and accepts new patients, so I'm really glad I found Dr. Singh.

Staff was great but waiting room was very busy and stuffy. There were 3 of us standing when I arrived. I didn’t have to wait long. Is it possible to put chairs out front for overflow seating? Other than that, staff and office itself was nice and clean. I especially like all of the windows and natural lighting

This was my first time at PHD and it far exceeded any prior dental experience I've had in the Bay Area. Dr. Singh took the time to get to know my concerns and the specifications of my needs. He communicated with warmth, patience, and expertise, a rare combination in medical professionals! He and his assistant Genesis were so thorough, my teeth still felt exceptionally clean several days later🦷✨️ I really appreciated their attention to detail and careful use of masks and other protective gear. (I have several friends who have contracted covid or the flu from their dental offices, but I felt very comfortable that I would not be exposed to unnecessary germs while having my exam and cleaning.) Sandra was at the front desk that day. I enjoyed speaking with her so much. She too was helpful, knowledgeable, and great at getting me settled in to my new dental home.

I actually looked up this place on google. I went in to get my mouth checked, the ladies up front were very friendly and great customer service. The doctor that worked on my mouth very gentle and very friendly and he explained what was going on and so on. But now my jaw is swollen and I’m still numb on my right side my appointment was yesterday 2/23/26 @ 8:15 AM and I’m still numb
