I thought a lot before posting my new review. I have left Village Smiles. I was a patient at village smiles for 40 nears. My last visit a couple days ago, I was informed that I was overdue for x-rays. I told the hygienist I do not want xrays. She said " we'll have to talk about this". I said no we don't, I do not want xrays. She left and went to talk to Dr Matt. She came back and said if I wanted to remain a patient, I must have xrays. I said well then, I'll find another dentist. Background; I have not had a cavity in over 50 years. I brush 3 tomes a day, floss twice a day. I am diabetic and take trulicity. It is known to cause thyroid cancer in animals. Humans they really do not know yet. Even though the radiation is small, I do not want the risk of xrays so close to my thyroid. My endocrinologist feels all over my neck every visit checking for nodes. My primary as well. Yes the risk me be very small but still, I do not want the risk. To say to a patient of 40 years I MUST have xrays to remain a patient is ridiculous. Diagnostics should be my choice. My primary Doc does not make me have a chest x-ray, or a colonoscopy or a stress test etc. He can recommend, but I have not been forced to undergo any test I do not wish to have. It just feels like a money grab.....
I lived in nine different states and I been to many dental office. This by far was the best experienced. The Staff is wonderful, nice, sincere, and easy to talk to. very friendly. I recommend this office to anyone.

Everyone and everything associated with Dr.Scwedfeger’s dental practice runs like a well oiled machine. Everyone has a great attitude and goes above and beyond to make your visit go without a hitch. 100% trust in this practice!
This is a great dental office and the staff is so friendly and professional. Vivian and Courtney at the reception desk are terrific. They are very knowledgeable and friendly. Dr. Matt puts you at ease as soon as he comes into your exam room. He explains everything thoroughly and takes the time to answer any questions you might have. The assistants are great. There was less than 5 minutes wait time before before being called for my appointment. I can’t say enough good things about my experience.
