1.Bad dentists. I arrive with no pain and leave with pain that needs to be corrected. 2. Horrible periodontist. I had gone to the periodontist and they recommended the extraction of my wisdom teeth. They said I need an expensive xray that my insurance would only cover once every four years. I asked when the last time I had it was and they said 2 years ago but it didn’t get images of my wisdom teeth and even if it had, I’d need new ones. Then when I returned for my appointment they told me I waited too long and needed a new appointment with the periodontist, with the soonest appointment being a month away. When I arrived I had to wait to be brought to the chair and then another 30 minutes for the periodontist. The periodontist didn’t even look in my mouth and told me I needed the xrays. I asked if I could have these xrays done by an oral surgeon. She immediately caught an attitude before proceeding to write me a referral for an oral surgeon consultation. When I brought the referral to the oral surgeon, they said they could not accept the referral as it has no mention of wisdom teeth, xrays or the purpose as to why I would even need an oral surgeon. So I called asking for a correct referral, they said they would send me a new referral by tomorrow. They did not. I called back two more times before I was told they would not put their practice at risk by writing me a referral for wisdom teeth extraction when I hadn’t been seen and haven’t had the xrays. 3. Unorganized labs. I needed a night guard for my teeth grinding they told me it would be three weeks. I waited the three weeks and when I came in it didn’t fit, they told me to wait another week, that they would rush order it. I showed up for my next appointment and it was not ready. They told me to come back in two hours. Then proceeded to call me and tell me to actually come back in two days. Then two days go by and they called me again saying it was not ready and to come in the following week. I told them to please check with their labs before rescheduling my appointment again. At which they responded by saying it had been ready 3 days ago and I could come in the next day. It still did not fit. I would not recommend this dental office to anyone. They also do give-aways for leaving 5 star reviews so any 5 star reviews are likely BS!

We had been patients at this office for over 5 years with regular 6-month checkups and never had any major issues. Then suddenly, at one appointment, we were told my son had 7 cavities. When I questioned how none of these were noticed just 6 months earlier, we were told they were “probably too small” to see before. We trusted their judgment and had all 7 cavities filled. The last two fillings were supposedly so deep that we were warned the teeth might eventually need root canals. Within ONE WEEK, my son developed severe throbbing pain in one of the teeth they treated. We returned, and the dentist simply shaved down part of the filling and told us to “try that.” The pain continued, and another week later my son woke up in significant pain again. When I called the office back for help, I was suddenly told they no longer accepted our insurance and essentially dismissed us. I even asked for a referral to an endodontist because it was obvious the tooth likely needed a root canal, and they refused to provide one. To make matters worse, a new dentist informed us that because this office had already billed insurance for the work only 3 weeks earlier, insurance may not cover correcting the problem. After years of loyalty, the lack of accountability, follow-up care, and compassion was incredibly disappointing. I would strongly encourage others to seek a second opinion before agreeing to extensive dental work here.

I’m very disappointed with my experience today. I had a 3:00 PM appointment, but ended up waiting over an hour while already lying down after being given an injection. The doctor administered the injection and then was unavailable for 30–40 minutes, leaving me waiting in discomfort without any communication. I understand that delays can happen, but better coordination and communication would make a big difference—especially for patients who have work commitments and tight schedules. I’m sharing this feedback so management is aware and can improve the patient experience moving forward. I had an awesome experience with their dental cleaning service. I’ve been coming here for over three years now, and I’ve never had any issues. The staff is always professional, friendly, and makes me feel comfortable every visit. They take their time to do a thorough job, and you can really tell they care about their patients. The quality of service has been consistently excellent, which is why I keep coming back. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for reliable and great dental care!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. MANIPULATED REVIEWS. Please, please stay away from this place. About a year ago, almost all reviews were negative. The influx of positive reviews in the past year have been because a sweepstakes with a requirement that you leave a positive review. They have posters hung up in the office advertising this. This is against Google's review policies. Needless to say, the positive reviews are greatly misleading. I and someone else got a filling on the same day from the same dentist, and we both had pain in our teeth afterward. I am still experiencing pain almost a year later.

I’ve been visiting Port Washignton Dental for implants and porcelain veneers and deep cleaning. Am very happy with attention to details from Shirley, Sherry, Daniel and Stella. Dr Michael And George always take the time to explain the process making sure I am comfortable throughout . They always answer my question. They paid great attention to make sure I am happy with the results. I will definitely recommend them to anyone who’s is considering implants or cosmetic work.
