When an ancient gold-capped molar finally went south on a recent weekend, I was able to call Rancho Dental's office first-thing on Monday morning and was able to get a same-day exam. I was scheduled for extraction at 8am the next day, and by 9:30am I was already home, tooth pulled and jaw numb. The staff were all very friendly, attentive and efficient, and the Periodontist who yanked the molar was excellent. Convenient, professional, painless!
The staff is always very helpful and professional. My most recent visit was I needed to be seen for a bad tooth, Jack got me in when I needed it most and made the situation much better. Thank you - Carlos
One of the worst experiences of my life. I'm 37 years old and unfortunately had to get a root canal and crown for the first time in my life. The root canal was uncomfortable but that dentist did fine and was quick and explained everything and had good bedside manner. But when I came in for the second appointment to put the temporary crown on it was a different dentist and this man worked on me for 45 minutes and then blatantly walked out and left me lying in the chair for an hour while he had a full on appointment with another patient. I heard their entire visit, just lying there. By the time he came back to work on me the numbing wore off and it was terribly painful. To make things worse the young dental assistant who was fitting the temporary crown on my tooth dropped a metal dental tool in my mouth, hitting my exposed tooth and it was extremely painful. I started crying at this point and he was extremely apologetic so I never said anything to anyone. I didn't want to get him in trouble. But this dental assistant must've been 19 or 20 years old and had terrible body odor and was completely unprofessional. When he was finally finished I told him it felt loose and didn't feel right. Although I had never had this done before, I still knew it didn't feel right. Only two days later it fell out. I was following their after-care instructions perfectly. The root canal took one hour. This temporary crown fitting appointment took a whopping 3.5 hours (because the dentist left and saw another patient in the middle of my procedure). They also charged me thousands of dollars for this, even though I have dental insurance that they accept. PLEASE do not come here for any major work. They may be friendly and it might be a good place for cleanings and checkups. But do not trust these 19 year old kids with your teeth.
The staff are friendly and competent, but the pricing structure feels excessive and out of line with the value provided. I was quoted $2.2k for one single ceramic onlay before insurance. Unless you only need basic cleanings covered by insurance, I would look elsewhere.
I am so happy to share my experience at Rancho Dental Group. I've been coming here for many years and have had nothing but the best care from everyone. The whole staff is professional and caring. Grace is amazing! She is an excellent hygienist. She explains everything before she starts and keeps updating as she continues the treatment. I really appreciate her. Thanks Rancho for all the excellent care.
A fantastic experience all around. From my first interaction on the phone with Ken to my initial visit where I saw Karla and Grace, I was thoroughly impressed with everybody. This was my first dental visit in eight years and I was somewhat uncomfortable going. Everyone there, including Dr. Cheung were absolutely calming and professional. Would highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a dentist in Rancho Santa Margarita.
Shout out to my hygienist, Grace. She always does such wonderful job. Very meticulous and thorough and a delightful person. Thank you, Grace!
