High Country Dental - Rio Rancho

I would not recommend High Country Dental based on my experience. I scheduled my annual cleaning and exam six months in advance and specifically requested a 4:00 PM appointment because I have two young children and cannot make earlier appointments. The day before my appointment, I received a call asking if I could come in earlier. When I explained that I couldn't, they told me I would need to reschedule for another day. I reminded them that I had booked this appointment six months ago specifically for that time. They eventually said they would keep my original appointment, but by that point I had lost confidence in their scheduling and decided to cancel and find another dentist. If you have a busy schedule or need a specific appointment time, be aware that even appointments made months in advance may not be honored as expected. It ended up being a frustrating experience and a waste of my time.

I cannot say enough good things about High Country Dental! Dr. King is amazing, thorough, professional, and extremely nice! I talked to her about getting two dental Implants. After looking at my panoramic x-rays (Which were at no cost to me or my insurance) She decided that it would be better to refer me to a surgeon, due to my narrow gums. I respect her decision. It proves to me that she cares about me as a patient and wanting my procedure done perfectly. We also came up with a game plan together to replace two crowns that have worn out over time .My dental hygienist, Danette(sp?) was very thorough and gentle at cleaning my teeth.This office is beautiful, elegant, and relaxing. Every single person in this office is extremely nice and welcoming. I highly recommend High Country Dental!!!

Dr Trujillo is the best dentist I have ever seen. Caring and super gentle. Sad to say that the reception from office staff is terrible. When you call your call is not answered and you are directed to AI. Even when a call requested it will not happen. Had a dental emergency and even though it says they take emergencies I did not find this to be true. Awaited a return call that never happened, even when I answered the numerous questions to include extensive insurance questions when I’m an established patient. Ultimately has to go elsewhere. I’m so saddened by this because due to past trauma I finally found a provider that made me feel comfortable and now have been forced to look elsewhere. Do better! As human beings, a human on the other end speaks volumes. I provide care in the community and am saddened by the direction scheduling and care is headed in our healthcare system.

New patient here, It is hard to impress me, I work in customer service and I hardly ever get the customer service I give my customers, but let me tell you. I was so impressed from the moment I walked in. Dr. King and her staff are so amazing and actually listened to me. Listened to my concerns and made me feel valued. I am in process of switching my daughter and husband over as well. Thank you for all you do and keep up the amazing work!

This team is truly amazing! I had an emergency with severe tooth pain and they were able to see me same day. Everyone was super friendly and professional and the whole environment was very comfortable and welcoming. The assistants and dentist were extremely helpful and understanding, and did everything they could to make me comfortable with the procedure. They well exceeded my expectations all around. Thank you so much High Country Dental!!!!
