Bayside Dental was pleasant and comfortable. I had a teeth cleaning my hygienist was knowledgeable and gave some tips on keeping my gums and teeth healthy. The front office is beautiful. The front team smiled when greeting. Very welcoming
I accompanied my 84-year-old mother, for whom I am the primary caregiver, to this office for what we understood would be a routine filling. Instead, her appointment became a nearly three-hour procedure involving multiple treatments and nitrous oxide, none of which was communicated to me during the visit. According to my mother, she became dizzy before leaving the office and informed staff that she was not feeling well. She was reportedly told to sit down, but no one reassessed her condition, checked her vital signs, or informed me that she had become symptomatic prior to discharge. Shortly after arriving home, my mother became extremely dizzy, lost consciousness, and passed out. It was only after this incident that I learned she had received nitrous oxide, undergone multiple procedures, been prescribed an antibiotic, and had an $8500 bill. Neither my mother nor I were given an explanation for the antibiotic, and no discharge or post-op instructions were provided. When I contacted the office seeking information and assistance, I was met with rudeness and a lack of concern. Dr. Mata stated that once my mother was walked out from the back, she was discharged and no longer their responsibility. Despite being informed that my mother had experienced a syncopal episode shortly after leaving the office, she never once asked how my mother was doing. Instead, she was dismissive, interrupted me repeatedly, and ultimately hung up the phone. I am deeply troubled by the lack of communication surrounding a lengthy procedure, the administration of nitrous oxide, the prescription of an unexplained antibiotic, and the failure to address an elderly patient’s complaint of dizziness before discharge. As a patient of this practice for more than 30 years, I always received excellent care under Dr. Boeke. Unfortunately, since his departure, the quality of communication, professionalism, and patient care has declined significantly. I intend to file a formal complaint with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners regarding these concerns. Patients and their families deserve clear communication, appropriate discharge instructions, and compassionate care—especially when an elderly patient develops new symptoms before leaving the office. Based on this experience, I would think twice before seeking care here and would be especially hesitant to entrust an elderly family member to this practice. This experience has completely eroded my trust in the office. My family deserved better care than what was provided on this day.
The best dental experience I've had. Everyone is nice and I do everyone. Always smiles from the whole team. Sometimes I can have what seems like 1,000 questions (billing, procedure, at home routines, etc) and the team responsible for answering those questions take their time to answer them all and make sure I understand everything before leaving the office. I will be sharing my experience and telling my associates in the area to make the change to Bayside. I truly appreciate the Bayside Dental team!
Like many people, it’s difficult for me to switch doctors or dentists. Having said that, I’m very impressed with Dr. Charles at Bayside Dental in Rowlett. He’s clearly very knowledgeable and skilled. He’s also very kind. Twice he has seen me without an appointment because I was in pain, and both times fixed the problem.
Every single person that works here is so wonderful!!! They helped me so much when I was shopping around for dental insurance versus going with their in house VIP services. I was pretty anxious that my years of dental neglect would end up costing me some major work but Dr Boeke was very honest at what work I needed to have a pretty mouth!! I give them a 10/10!
I honestly wish I could give more than 5 stars. I’ve had minimal dental issues, however, going to the dentist has always terrified me. From my first phone call to schedule my appointment, the staff has been top tier. Teresa has such a delightful, bright personality and she made scheduling my cleaning seamless. My hygienist, I believe her name is Elise (I am so sorry if it’s not!) was outstanding. She noticed that I was nervous and was able to calm me down and reassure me. She also hums “My Shiny Teeth and Me” from Fairly Oddparents! Lol! That was a great distraction! My dentist, Dr. Charles, is extremely pleasant with great bedside manner as well! I got a filling this morning and he did an amazing, pain-free job. Love love love this dental office!!
