Went here for the first time for a routine checkup and cleaning. Was blown away by the professionalism and service by everyone I interacted with Mehnaz and Annie at the front desk were very friendly and incredible in helping me with the forms and scheduling a follow up appointment. Justin did an amazing job with the cleaning and Dr. Habib was very knowledgeable and made sure I understood everything she explained. 10/10 would recommend

Fun fact: Dentistry is one of the most ancient medical procedures in the world, dating back to 7,000 B.C. Based on archaeological evidence, we know that humans who lived over 6,500 years ago had dental fillings. The ancient Sumerians used “magical incantations” & herbal remedies for toothaches, while the Aztecs used white ashes mixed with honey or rubbed their teeth with charcoal and salt to remove plaque and tartar! Why do I bring all this up in a Yelp review? Because dentistry isn't just a science; it's also an art. It’s an ancient practice, and those who practice it exceptionally well are, in my opinion, nothing short of artists. Dental Matters is one of those rare practices. I had the great fortune of working with Dr. Laura Habeeb and her wonderful team. I came to Dental Matters after a highly disappointing experience at another dental office (across the street, actually!), where a filling had been done incorrectly and there were apparently problems with the planned placement of my crowns. Needless to say, I was feeling altogether discouraged & pretty hopeless. Switching to Dental Matters was an absolute game-changer. First, the administrative staff are incredibly kind, understanding, and knowledgeable. They really know their stuff! Sidra was especially amazing. Imran (dental assistant) was also wonderful, and Usman (dental assistant) in particular went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my crowns. Usman spent over half an hour helping me design my crowns on a 3D screen. When I wasn't satisfied with the color of my permanent crowns, he helped me make adjustments through their in-house lab. How cool is that? Never once did he complain or make me feel difficult for asking questions. He simply listened, took my concerns seriously, and worked with me until I was happy with the result. But the true standout was Dr. Laura Habeeb. Dr. Habeeb doesn't just give dentistry 100 percent. She gives 200 percent! She is a true dental-artist, in every sense of the word. Not only is Dr. Habeeb extraordinarily intelligent and knowledgeable about all things dental (and I mean everything), but she's also a deeply empathetic person. She listens carefully, takes your concerns seriously, and consistently goes the extra mile. Even the tiniest adjustments mattered to her because she wanted my teeth to both feel good and look beautiful. And that's what makes dentistry such a fascinating art, in my opinion. Teeth are both functional & aesthetic. They can cause us pain, but they're also part of how we smile, speak, and present ourselves to the world. A truly phenomenal dentist understands both sides of that equation. If you're getting crowns or fillings done, or honestly any dental work done at all, I couldn't recommend Dr. Habeeb more highly. I'm so grateful I found Dr. Habeeb and her team. Dental Matters is truly a hidden gem, and I couldn't be happier with my experience!

Terrible experience. If ZERO stars were an option, that is what I would give Dental Matters and Dr.Syed. I came here for TMJ concerns and braces, and my experience was extremely disappointing. My wires broke repeatedly, and during one emergency visit I waited 30–40 minutes only to be told my wire could not be replaced because my appointment was only 10–15 minutes. The wire was poking my gums, yet I was sent home without it being properly addressed.The worst part was having my orthodontic treatment terminated without being properly informed. I had to contact the office myself to find out. After paying $1,500, I received only $1,000 back, and I was left with braces still on my teeth with no proper plan for removal. I had to find another orthodontist and pay an additional $150 just to have them removed. Terminating someone’s treatment and then leaving them to deal with the consequences themselves is unacceptable. I felt dismissed, disrespected, and that financial considerations mattered more than patient care. I have previous experience with an orthodontic specialist, so I understand the importance of proper orthodontic care. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise anyone considering braces to do extensive research, understand exactly who is treating you, and read your contract carefully before committing. I would not recommend Dr. Syed or Dental Matters. Patients deserve to feel cared for, not treated as a source of revenue and then left to deal with the consequences themselves. Based on my experience, financial gain appeared to be prioritized over patient care. Choose your provider carefully- There are dentists who genuinely care about their patients, and sadly, I did not feel Dr. Syed was one of them.

I had a wonderful experience at the Dental Matters! The dentist & staff were professional, friendly, & made me feel completely comfortable throughout my visit. Highly recommended. Justin did amazing job to clean my teeth. As well as Dr. Laura excellent care.

I am a new patient to Dental Matters since Feb-March 2026. I was in desperate need to find a cure for my toothache for which my previous dentist could not fix or pinpoint the issue. I made an appointment with Dr. Maha Kaden at Dental Matters(Skokie) and after careful examination and imaging she discovered that I had a fracture in my molar. She informed me of my options and I decided to have an implant. The cost was very reasonable when I did some research on it. The whole process is a long wait after having the tooth removed and getting the post installed in the bone and waiting for it to bond. But after the 3 months of waiting and then having the implant installed I am truly very happy with the results. The tooth matches well and feels great and I can eat whatever I want without pain! Dr. Khaden is an amazing dentist! She is very knowledgeable and explains every step of the process and answers every question you may have and you can tell she is truly a caring and warm person. I also want to mention the hygienists, receptionists and her support team that work there are also fantastic! I waited for a bit to do this review because I wanted to see how the new implant felt and performed over the summer. After having the implant installed in June, I can say it's performed very well thus far. I'm so glad I discovered Dental Matters in Skokie! Dr. Khaden is my new dentist and have no plans to go anywhere else. Thanks again Dr. Khaden!

I'll be the first to admit I dont like going to the dentist but now I can't wait to go back. Everyone here was so kind/friendly to one their patients but to one another as well. Especially my doctor (Laura habeeb) who's very good on communicating on what's going to happen, good listener, very patience but overall made the experience comforting/safe. Highly HIGHLY recommend this place for anyone. You won't regret it

Dental Matters provided an outstanding experience for my sister, and I. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by a friendly and caring reception staff. The office is beautiful, modern, clean, and organized, with a calming atmosphere and a wonderful aroma that helped put everyone at ease. Dr. Laura was exceptional. She has an excellent bedside manner and treated my sister with kindness, patience, and compassion throughout her visit. She was encouraging, attentive, professional, and took the time to make Maria feel safe and comfortable. Her gentle approach eased my sister's anxiety and helped her feel cared for every step of the way. 🩷 I would also like to recognize Dr. Syed for his kindness and thoughtfulness. He provided oxygen for my sister when needed and graciously allowed her to remain comfortable in the dental chair while we waited for our transportation to arrive. His compassion and willingness to accommodate her needs meant more to us than words can express. 🫶🏼 I would also like to give special recognition to Rosa. Throughout the entire process, she demonstrated remarkable patience, understanding, and professionalism. She was always willing to answer questions, provide guidance, and ensure everything went smoothly. Her caring attitude made a stressful situation much easier for me 🌹 The entire team was respectful, professional, and accommodating. Everyone worked together seamlessly to ensure my sister received exceptional care while maintaining a positive and welcoming environment. We are truly grateful for the compassion, patience, and professionalism shown by the entire Dental Matters team. Coming here was the best decision I made for my oral care! “Dental Matters” really does mean you matter to them! I really appreciate everyone I interacted with in my first visit for a cleaning, x-rays and a consultation for dental implants. They were very kind and helpful with the entire process. I’m absolutely elated with seeing them go forward!

Justin did my cleaning today and he was absolutely fantastic! Gentle, thorough and very knowledgeable! When the dentist came in he spoke about potential need for implants down the line but was not pushy. Had a very good experience!

Best experience overall. A special thank you to Justin, who handled my procedure flawlessly. Despite my tight schedule, he was willing to work outside of his normal hours, which truly meant a lot to me. They just don't see you patient here - they genuinely care, and it really shows.

Been to Dental Matters plenty of times. Nothing special. Front desk is nice. But then, you are ALWAYS. And I mean ALWAYS. Taken late. It’s insane. It doesn’t matter what time you book the appointment, what day, you will be taken late no matter what. But really I am writing this review because I believe they are scammers here and just want your money. They quoted me $758 OUT OF POCKET, after insurance, and told me I had 9 cavities. Then wanted me to pay 1.2k more, once again AFTER INSURANCE, OUT OF POCKET, for my wisdom teeth. I truly left this place crying and feeling defeated. They said they have payment plans but wow, $2.5k is insane. Fast forward this past week, I went to Brighter Smile Dentistry in Skokie as well. And was told I only had 7 cavities and it would be $200 TOTAL FOR EVERYTHING, AFTER INSURANCE. They got 4 cavities done in literally 45 minutes. If you go here, and think this place is fine, that is fine. But I truly believe they are scammers, grifters, looking to make a quick penny at the expense of people who are terrified, looking for true advice, and quality service. They have other bad reviews. Cut somebody’s cheek. People say the manager is rude and does not care about their costumers. They have other people write good reviews so the reviews can be buried. But if you look you will find them.

I’ve had an excellent experience with this dental office from start to finish. The team is incredibly efficient, thorough, and respectful of your time — I’m always seen promptly and often finished earlier than expected without ever feeling rushed. Dr. Laura Habeeb is warm, welcoming, and exceptionally knowledgeable. She takes the time to be very thorough and is always on top of what needs to be done, which gives me complete confidence in my care. Communication is easy and clear, and any questions or requests are handled quickly and professionally. Overall, this office consistently delivers high-quality care with efficiency, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to their patients. I highly recommend them.
