Children's Dentistry of Abilene

I don’t know the names of the nurses that were at our appointment today, but they are so very sweet and empathetic. One talked to my nonverbal autistic son so calmly today and calmed him down from his meltdown. He starts crying as soon as we get to the parking lot of any sort of doctor’s office and is scared through most appointments. She was so sweet and understanding. Dr. Poorman was awesome and quick as always and is also so sweet and understanding.

A year layer finally get the kids an appointment and all of a sudden we have an outstanding balance due two days before their appointment. Apparently every kid had "uncovered" charges from the year prior and we get no text, paper bills or notice until we have new insurance and an appointment in 2 days. Beyond frustrated.

Took my 4 year old to his first appointment and I was definitely feeling nervous because my son doesn’t do to good going to any doctors office. But oh my goodness Dr. Poorman and the young lady that attended to him were so gentle and kind with him, talking to him and making him feel safe. He was also very informative in a much needed procedure that he needed and was very reassuring. We had the best experience with the Dr. he definitely loves what he does! And with that I am moving my other children to this dentistry office as well!

⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐️ Dr. Poorman and his staff are truly incredible! My son, Zane Smith (3/1/18), recently had a visit, and the care and compassion we received were beyond words. Dr. Poorman’s bedside manner is amazing—he not only provided exceptional care but also made sure Zane felt comfortable and supported throughout the process. The staff went above and beyond, sharing how they felt using Zane’s “feelings blanket” that truly touched our hearts. Their prayers and emotional support meant so much to us, and it’s clear that they genuinely care about their patients. Thanks to their dedication, Zane is now feeling great and happily enjoying his ice cream and mac & cheese. I’ve even shared photos and videos to show how well he’s doing! Thank you, Dr. Poorman and team, for everything—you’ve made such a difference in our lives!

Dr. Poorman was great with my daughter as well as his assistant. They both made the experience great! It was also very fast! We will definitely go back. This was also the first experience my son had where he was not afraid.
