So I just left Shalom dental crying profusely my smile isn't beautiful anymore I'm so disappointed then I was being or trying to be convinced to get a crown something that I can't afford to pay for I just wanted a little bit of filling on my front tooth so I can smile . Even if temporary. The previous feeling that was put on came out due to a surgical procedure I had to have a scope put down my throat. Nevertheless went to my dentist today and I couldn't even get a little feeling to fix my smile crazy right so now I'm sitting in my car crying profusely praying to God that he sends me a dentist that can fix this and at least fill in the front I can't have any major dental work at the time because I'm having a surgical procedure done I just want to be able to smile before then but I won't be able to I love Shalom dental the staff is nice and the dentist is very nice as well I was just under the impression that the dentist will understand that all I wanted was a little bit of feeling in the front of my tooth but instead I get offered things like getting a crown things that I cannot pay for I have Medicaid and I know Medicaid will pay for a filling but oh well I guess I just have to sit here and cry my eyes out and figure out what to do

They really take care of you!!! I called an hour before closing, they gave me an emergency visit for me to come in. I was in excruciating pain. I left having a temporary solution for now to last me until my appointment early next week for a finalized plan of action. The staff is nice, accommodating and take care of you! They make sure they get to the ROOT of the problem.

DON’T GO!!!!! SAVE YOURSELF!!!!! READ IF YOU WOULD LIKE **** I found this place close to home & on April 3rd, 2026 I went for my annual checkup as a new patient of course. They probably have regulars that they give no problems to but I have a billion after just one cavity filling & a “cleaning”. The cleaning was the most rushed/mediocre I’ve ever had, there was very little communication during the entire process from the x-ray to the cleaning to the filling (i don’t mean small talk, they were talking amongst themselves about MY teeth.. that’s never happened to me before), there was no after care information given at all, nor any pain relief medication offered considering she knew what she just did. During the filling, though she numbed me, I was in so much pain as she excessively drilled, that I was kicking!!! Almost ALL the dental professionals I’ve been to gave the signal to sign to them should I feel any pain during the procedure to raise the hand on the opposite side in which they are working on; she said nothing!!! I still proceeded to raise my hand thinking it’s a universal sign but she didn’t stop unless I was simultaneously kicking my feet, making noises, and scrunching my face!! Instead of stopping, taking a break, or CONSOLING ME and making sure that I was okay, yall.. SHE JUST KEPT STABBING ME UP WITH THE NUMBING NEEDLE!!! And not even just a little in close areas, she was BANGING at what felt like my jaw bone, that needle is NOT little!!! Even if she wasn’t at my jaw bone, it felt like I was having a procedure done that I needed ANESTHESIA for!!! All of that for lady to have COMPLETELY RUINED the integrity of my lower first molar. I have obvious nerve damage considering how much she drilled & the filling is poorly done. It’s LOOKS terrible to the naked eye that may NOT be in dentistry. The tooth itself is on & off sensitive to touch/chew, I can’t rest my hand on my check for random leisure because the nerve is completely sensitive so it causes a indescribable pain, i can’t clench my jaw (I don’t regularly do it, it is just something I noticed), and maybe a few other things I would actively have to be doing to remember!!! It’s ridiculous!!!! In life I have had a root canal, two other fillings, 2 bottom row unsurfaced teeth removed from UNDERNEATH my gums, and braces.. TWICE! I have never ever experienced this kind of oral discomfort from any of those things and most of them I was younger! There are literally no grooves in my tooth, the inner side of the tooth that rest on my tongue she has shaved down so low that my bite is different. ALL the sides are sharp & the dip in my molar where grooves and indents WERE are now all smooth.. I would attach images but repercussions of pulling the cheek out the way to show the tooth would possibly cause pain that would lead to a migraine, SMH. I really can’t stress it enough. No pain meds have worked since I got it done, and still I have throbbing pain, migraines & FRUSTRATION lasting until NOW (06/9/2026) that it is urging me to make this review at 3AM. I cannot express enough how much you should NOT come here!!!!! Now I’M left to deal with it and I literally am scared to go see another dentist because I don’t want the pain/outcome to double if she has actually ruined my tooth.

I recently had to change dentist because my previous dentist didnt cover my plan. I am glad that I found this hidden gem. My experiences have been very good. I had a teeth cleaning and an tooth fill in with Dr. Adenike. She did very good and the environment is clean. I will definitely will be continuing to come back for future services.

Shalom Dentist Review I was a patient here for over 10 years, but unfortunately, my experience turned very negative. During a tooth extraction, my crown was broken. I later had to get a root canal redone by another dentist because it was not done properly the first time. Additionally, work done on a crowned tooth led to further issues, and I ultimately had to have the tooth underneath the crown removed. Please be cautious. In my experience, there were serious problems with the dental work, and you may not realize something is wrong until it’s too late

Had two filings done today and I'm a big baby when it comes to needles! Dr. Adenike Gbenle made sure I didn't feel a thing, including that needle to numb the area, great job doc.

I had dental work done at Shalom Dental almost a week ago today and it went great. I was a little nervous at first but the process turned out to be very easy and not at all overwhelming. The entire office was very helpful from start to finish, very caring/respectful, everyone was very knowledgeable and always greeted me with a smile upon all my visits. I appreciate the comfort they provided doing the process and look forward to the end results. 😊
