Our experience with DentalWorks was awful. This will be my 1st 1-star google review, and would give 0 stars if i could. It started 5 months ago. My son had jaw pain. We needed a new dentist, our old dental office closed. Went here because in-network with Cigna. Made an appointment with oral surgeon, thinking it was his wisdom teeth. Was told he had the worst TMJ he'd seen all year. Only treatment is 4000$ botox injections every 3-6 months with no supportive therapy alternatives mentioned. Left feeling like the worst mom ever because we can't afford that since insurance doesn't cover botox. The visit felt like an upsell or marketing ploy, but the oral surgeon was kind...just no mention of other options. Then in March or April I was willing to try them again only to request routine dental cleanings for my son and I (we were used to getting them q6 months at old dentist). Got scheduled to the end of May. They use an outside answering service to take all your info and schedule you. Very long and redundant call just to get us both scheduled, was a 20-30min ordeal. Then arrived to our appointment and had to sit in there for over two hours for them to not even do the cleanings. They said the answering service didn't schedule us for cleanings, just exams.... on top of a ridiculous wait time, the dentist who saw us said my son had 2 cavities and that I had 1. She told us my son's cavities were "large" and dangerously close to the root. She told me my impacted canines needed to be fixed ASAP and would be an emergency within the year or so. I am 40 and my baby teeth canines have been impacted my entire life and my last dentist had confirmed there is zero emergency to me looking like a vampire on x-rays. Again, felt cheap and marketed and had a scare tactic vibe to the whole encounter. They insisted we schedule cleanings before they would do our fillings that we needed, but closest cleaning appointment was a month out. They refused to handle the cavities prior to a cleaning. Dentist also told us she wouldn't be there much longer and was leaving to work for someone else. Cool...... so my son has a large and small cavity and you won't fill it until we get in for a cleaning a month out that i requested back in March/April and then you won't have a dentist to do the fillings anyway? Great, love that. But the staff promised me they would have a fill-in dentist in time, even if they were from out of state. Fast forward to end of June, guess whose appointments are canceled. Ours. Now I'm frustrated and at this point have spent almost 3 months just trying to get routine dental care done. So the office reschedules me to mid-July and promises me, and I mean promises, that our cleanings will happen and my son will get his needed fillings before we leave the state. Guess what happens again...... they cancel us again stating HVAC issues. Now I'm done. I locate another dentist in network and they get us in within the week and my son's fillings are done before I can even leave this shitty review. The office didn't email our xrays to our new dentist like they said they would until the day of, even though I called and asked nicely. Just the whole experience was nasty. I would never recommend. Another side note- their office lobby was very dirty. Have never seen a Healthcare establishment with dirtier floors or table tops. Our new dentist at Hudec Dental is incredible and on the same road as this place. Go there instead. And the cavity that the DentalWorks baby dentist said I had, doesn't exist. It was staining she saw.
I can’t give enough praise & thanks to Dr Krajekian & his staff! Brandi, Gretchen, Amber & im forgetting others, plz forgive me. From Brandi’s greeting & comforting words once inside the door to Gretchen walking me to my car after the procedure, their care has been exemplary! Dr K’s honest, candid, pleasant & even funny bedside manner & the after care that he has so graciously & kindly provided me on his own time has been beyond unexpected & definitely unmatched! I cldnt b more grateful. I am humbled. Ty, all of u!!
Only one star because I can't give them zero. They say they will take your insurance and then charge you a $1000. Now I have a huge bill because they lied to me just like most big businesses do. Sure would be nice if we didn't have so many crooks in this country!
I had an appointment to have an infected tooth removed. I was told that an implant could be started that day. The infection continued until the implant was removed. After multiple phone calls and visits, most of which were not answered, Dr. Krejekian ordered that I be reimbursed. Then after multiple emails to office manager, and my decision to get legal help, I’ve then been reimbursed. It took eight months for this to be resolved. In spending so much time waiting in a dental chair and overhearing other clients conversations, I would recommend people go elsewhere!
AWFUL! My son used to see Dr. Ray for his braces. After he had been in braces for 5 YEARS, we got a second opinion and I’m so glad we did. I saw more changes in my son’s teeth in the first two months of seeing the new orthodontist than I had seen in 5 years with Dr. Ray. Now, 2 years after our first visit with the orthodontist we switched to, my son’s braces are off. How is it one doctor was able to get the correct work done in two years when Dr. Ray couldn’t even get to the next step in 5?!?! Also, the new orthodontist made us aware of the impacted, upside down baby tooth just under my son’s nose that needed removed-how did Dr. Ray not see that on the x-rays?! Any time I tried to get information from Dr. Ray, all I received was giggles and him saying “coming along great”. What a ripoff!!! Then, when I tried to get refunded for whatever work wasn’t done, I couldn’t get anyone to respond to me…I tried by phone, by e-mail, and in person and I finally just gave up because I didn’t have the time to fight them anymore. I had also left their dental side when I left their ortho side due to the bad customer service and care at that time, plus the fact that we trusted them with their recommendation of Dr. Ray (they were a great office at the time they recommended him)-big mistake. DO NOT use Dentalworks, particularly for their orthodontics. Awful experience, but I’m happy to have gone through it if it saves someone else.
Staff were very friendly and accomodating. They made sure I was comfortable and pain free throughout the entire experience. The doctor took no time at all the extract my tooth, build a bone graft and place the implant for the tooth. It was NOT as bad as I had imagined! The only thing really crying is my wallet! It IS costly even WITH insurance.
