Great Lakes Dental Care

It was kind of an emergency thing. I called yesterday afternoon got in this morning at 10. Seen a great dentist forgot his name. Pulled 2 teeth got me on a payment plan and out the door. Excellent service very friendly and kind. I am scared to death of dentist and they take that feeling away. Thanks every for your care for me today it was greatly appreciated.

I struggle with forming habits, especially dental hygiene ones, due to ADHD etc. i've been going to Great Lakes for about two years - and today they remarked on how much my dental health improved (in measurable ways that make sense to me!). I have never before had such helpful, affirming dental care teams as those here. When I initially came in over a year ago it was night and day how patient and supportive they were of my needs as compared to previous dentists. The receptionist and hygienist also took the time to confirm my new dental insurance today before starting treatment so I wouldn't get an out of network charge. Dr. Marsh has always been pleasant, friendly, and understanding with me! Love this practice.

The team at Great Lakes Dental Care are amazing. I called with an emergency and had same day appointment within a few hours . Dr Carey and assistant Emma were compassionate, kind and delivered excellent care. I was anxious about having a root canal and they reassured me . I was out the door pain free within a couple hours. Can’t thank you enough for the excellent care provided.

I can't wait to come back next month for my next appointment because the care i received was outstanding. Every one at the clinic was wonderful from the moment I walked in. The receptionist did an excellent job as well. I felt very comfortable while Brenda was assisting me. Honestly I didn't feel any pain at all. She made me feel at ease and took great care of me. She was attentive the entire time and constantly checked on how I was feeling. She was caring professional and provided excellent service. I was comfortable throughout the entire visit. Amazing staff! Highly recommend to anyone who is nervous about the dentist or hasn’t been in sometime. Not only were they kind, they explained everything to me with great detail and gave me tips on how to take care of my teeth. They never once made me feel ashamed for having any issues! They also had very good transparency with cost estimates and are willing to work with you to make sure you’re not paying too much out-of-pocket If you have insurance. It seemed like they also had very good rates for someone who also is uninsured.

This was a super weird & frustrating experience for me as a first-time patient, switching dental offices from across the country. An absolute waste of my time. When I arrived, I filled out standard paperwork, etc. The office is super nice and updated inside. I had my records sent over from my previous office and they sent over what they had. When I sat down with the hygienist, I felt like I was getting a sales pitch the entire time. They received my records but required a panoramic X-ray to be done. My insurance wouldn't cover it, as I had it done at my old office too recently. My old office did not send over these records, and I couldn't get them to be sent over during the appointment. The hygienist proceeded to take standard X-rays while we waited to see if the old office would get back to me. After performing the standard examination and X-rays, we still had not heard from them... She then let me know that either I needed to pay out of pocket for the panoramic today or the appointment (that they had already midway completed) would need to be rescheduled until they had the records. My question... why even begin the appointment without the necessary documentation they require? Additionally, I didn't appreciate that they continued to push me to pay out of pocket and let me know that "legally" it is required for them to clean my teeth. It may be your policy, but there is no legal requirement here & that is very misleading. This left a bad taste in my mouth. Of course, they still billed my insurance for the initial X-rays. 2 stars for the office being nice and receptionist being easy to work with but recommend steering clear of this business practice and model.
