Maitland Square Dentistry

After searching for an emergency dentist, (cracked molar , severe pain)my neighbor found this facility. Appt was confirmed for Sunday at 8 am, however when I arrived, the office was closed despite saying their open 24 hours. I called at 8:25, asked if they were open, a male said they open at 8:30, but they don’t have an appointment until 10… then tells me to “be patient.” Why advertise open 24 hours? Why offer an 8 am appointment? I drove 30 minutes hoping for relief, Very disappointing!!! And just to be clear… I completed the paperwork. Which is the only reason I drove to the facility. Banks are not open 24 hours, nor do they advertise that. No one in their right mind drives 30 minutes, in severe pain, and at these gas prices just to leave a negative review for an appointment they never had.

I had an extremely frustrating and honestly unacceptable experience with Maitland Square Dentistry. They advertise 24-hour emergency dental services, which led us to believe we could rely on them in an actual urgent situation. My husband needed immediate care in the middle of the night, so we contacted them and even went to their office, only to be left completely stranded with no real response or assistance. I texted them at 2:14 AM while we were physically outside their office. They didn’t respond until 4:25 AM, at which point we were already forced to make other arrangements. Despite this, they claimed they “never received any texts,” which is simply not true. The lack of accountability and the dismissive tone in their responses made an already stressful situation worse. What’s most concerning is the misleading nature of their “24-hour” claim. If your system requires immediate back-and-forth texting to unlock access, and you fail to respond in a timely manner, then you are not truly providing 24-hour emergency care. In a real emergency, delays like this are unacceptable. Instead of acknowledging the issue, they doubled down on their process and blamed us for not following “guidelines” that were never clearly communicated in the moment. That’s not how emergency healthcare should work. We ended up having to wait until a different dentist opened in the morning, losing critical time while my husband was in pain. If you are in need of urgent dental care, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. This experience showed a clear lack of responsiveness, poor communication, and misleading advertising. *UPDATE BELOW IN RESPONSE TO OWNER'S RIDICULOUS REPLY: Your response perfectly illustrates the problem. Telling patients to “get used to the way business models have evolved” is incredibly dismissive, especially when someone is seeking emergency care in the middle of the night. We were not asking for concierge service, we were trying to access the “24-hour emergency dental care” you actively advertise. The issue is not that we failed to “engage” with your automated system. The issue is that we called the number as instructed ON YOUR FRONT DOOR, which no one ever answers by the way, and had no choice but to text at 2:14 AM while physically outside your office and did not receive a response until 4:25 AM, and obviously at that point we had moved on to seek other more professional care. If a legitimate emergency inquiry can sit unanswered for over two hours and then later be labeled as “spam,” your emergency response is not reliable. A patient should not be expected to wait indefinitely or know that your system is faulty. What is most concerning is the complete lack of accountability in your reply. Rather than acknowledging the delay, you chose to blame the patient and respond condescendingly. Saying patients should “get used to” this kind of experience is not acceptable from a healthcare provider. Advertising 24/7 emergency dental care creates a reasonable expectation of timely assistance, which you did not follow through with. Everyone stay away from this practice!

My husband was in massive pain and needed a difficult procedure, but Dr. Hazan handled it perfectly and provided instant relief! He is an amazing dentist who arrived right on time and acted with such urgency. We are so grateful for his expertise and fast, professional care!

I’ve had a lot of dental work done over the last year and Dr. Hazan has been amazing through all of it. He’s extremely knowledgeable and confident, and you can tell right away he really knows what he’s doing. What I appreciated most is that he never made me feel judged or embarrassed about my teeth. No lectures, no guilt, nothing like that. He stayed focused on what needed to be done and always explained things clearly without making it overwhelming. The work he’s done has been excellent and I’ve felt comfortable and taken care of every step of the way. If you’re looking for a dentist who’s skilled, straightforward, and genuinely respectful, I highly recommend Dr. Hazan.

Absolutely wonderful all the way around. Saw me early on a Sunday. Was able to do everything I needed to get out of pain! The most painless novacaine shots I've ever had. The extraction was quick and very smooth and The Doctor is awesome to talk to. Much appreciated and highly recommended.
