Smile Center Mobile

Upon moving to Mobile from CA, I was in search for a new dentist. I was headed to dinner and passed by this building that was so neat and clean looking. At that point, I googled the name and read the reviews and figured I'd give it a try. I'm not a fan of dentist but must say my first visit and every subsequent visit, the entire staff made me feel welcomed and comfortable. When they offered me a blanket and pillow, I almost fell out the chair. What can I say about Dr. White. He's calming and reassuring and is the consummate professional. A team is only great if they have a great leader/coach. I can see why they're so great! Smile Center is my new home. Thanks again staff. Special thanks to Dr. White for getting my dental needs right, the first time. Thank You!!

This was my first visit to Dr White is very knowledgeable, engaging very friendly and helped me to find out some things. I didn’t know Miss Tina was very nice. The front desk ladies were very nice very friendly Miss Tina a very knowledgeable and helpful. I will be back soon. Thank you. And the office was very clean and very nice and pretty. I really enjoyed my visit.

My first visit it was great! The entire staff was amazing. They were very detailed. I was shocked when Ms Cassie said tell me about you. What do you like to do? Everything was explained. Ms Cassie was such a delight. Nice meeting you Dr. White😀. Glad we finally made a decision to inquire.

I’m a newer patient here, and I want to start by saying Dr. White has been excellent. He addressed my concerns and anxiety right away after a previous negative experience. My daughter and mother also love it here. However, my most recent experience with the front desk was extremely frustrating and is why I felt the need to leave a review. My tooth broke in February, and I came in shortly after in severe pain to schedule an appointment. The soonest available date was June 2nd, almost four months later, so I paid upfront and waited while dealing with ongoing pain. I was also told antibiotics would be called in after my exam, but they never were. This past Friday at 1:03 PM, I received a call asking to move my appointment. I said I needed to check with my husband and would call back, which I did. No one answered, so I left a detailed voicemail. After that, I continued receiving text confirmations for my original June 2nd appointment, including one just hours before, so I had no indication anything had changed. I’ll also be leaving the screenshots of the confirmation texts for reference. When we arrived early, I was told my appointment had been canceled because they didn’t receive confirmation from me, and the tone was noticeably condescending and dismissive, which made an already frustrating situation feel even more disrespectful. I explained that I did exactly what I should have by answering the call, calling back just minutes later, then leaving a voicemail. Instead of acknowledging that, it was initially presented as if I hadn’t followed through. Only after I pushed back was I told there were ongoing phone and voicemail issues. That didn’t make any sense to us. I should not have to defend myself over something I handled properly or be expected to repeatedly call them over an availability issue on their end. Clear communication is a basic expectation, especially after waiting months in pain. The only options given were an appointment in two days or July 11th. My husband is a firefighter and paramedic, so scheduling is not flexible. Thankfully, a family member rearranged their own appointment so I could take the sooner slot and have child care. While Dr. White provides great care, repeated front desk communication issues are starting to outweigh the positives. This situation showed a lack of accountability and left a negative impression on both me and my husband, who had been planning to become a patient as well. I truly hope this improves, because Dr. White’s care deserves better support from the administrative side. I do plan to continue my treatment plan with him because he does amazing work and is very understanding of those of use with anxiety and willing to accommodate to your needs, but some staff are just not understanding at all. My experience today was very disappointing :(

I’ve never had a bad experience dealing with Dr. White. Today was horrible. All I’m going to say is I wish the energy from the old office would come back. The assistant (not sure of her title) was extremely kind. She showed concern, compassion, and empathy. She took her time and didn’t just come up with anything. She listened to me and then did her own thorough observation. However this entire situation was handled wrong from the beginning. I won’t bash this office but there are concerns that he should address immediately. I just want the old Dr. White back and a staff like he had previously.

Tyrell James felt very comfortable and welcome by your staff. Every one made you feel like family. Mr James was very pleased. He will be making your center his new Dental care. Dental visits alway stress me out but Dr. White and his staff go above and beyond to ensure that I am relaxed, comfortable and emotionally ready before starting any procedure. The constant care and reassurance is amazing. I would and have already recommended Dr. White to my friends and co-workers.
