Abigail is an amazing hygienist. Friendly, knowledgeable, gentle, and compassionate. Family Dental Associates is lucky to have her as an employee.

Beware that this is no longer a "family" practice but is owned by another entity. So they are very much about the money. Despite recommendations from their own dental society, they are always trying to force items on you even when you have no insurance. The patients are just cash cows. They are lucky to have the hygienists that they do because patients are loyal to them and they are mostly excellent. The dentists have no personality and don't care to be anymore than civil, which is fine, but they have zero concept of customer service. They just want money for their lake home or whatever. Once my dentist left and Dr. Mike left, there was no reason to continue there especially after the one dentist told me how the patients tell him how the other dentists treated them differently (more caring) but, as he said, I guess we aren't trained in schools to be so patient focus which why our backs aren't so bad. I guess he was kidding? I ended up getting an appt elsewhere. It was hard to get a recommendation because it seems no one really loves their dentist in Rutland. Where I went was wonderful. I explained my situation to them and that the current office I had "suggested" I leave their practice if I don't "trust" them. Good advice. There are places that believe in patient care. They said in trying to get my records, FD was not nice and at first refused which they can't do. Since then, I have heard that there have been a lot of inquiries from FD for jobs elsewhere. Don't know if that is true but I can't blame them. It is not the practice that it was but as long as you don't complain and have insurance or money to pay, you probably will be fine. But question or complain? Watch out. Especially since there aren't as many dentists as there use to be, they know they don't have to try very hard. My advice is to look outside of Rutland if you can't find one you like. You pay hard earned money so you should get something for it.

Hilary my hygienist is wonderful. As nervous as I get she prepares so efficiently to make me feel comfortable. She is the best!

great first time experience! had my wisdom tooth pulled here and i felt NO PAIN AT ALL though the whole thing! all staff are super welcoming and very kind. i had Dr Diago and assistant Deb, they were absolutely wonderful to me, this is my go to place from now on

The tooth fairy Exchange program is great. Any money, the tooth fairy leaves you family dental will double it in cleaning credit and free toothbrushes!

My experiences at Family Dental have always been good. Janette, Jackie, and the office staff are always helpful and friendly. Today there was a small glitch because my trays were not available for my 10:10 appointment, but a slot was open in the afternoon, so I ran some errands and all was fine. Thank you for your excellent work.
