This office was able to accommodate me last minute for a filling that popped out. I was in and out in 15 minutes. They were so efficient. Dr. Eline was great. The staff was kind, and the office was clean. I really appreciate them taking me in with such short notice right before a holiday weekend. Thank you.

I went for a cleaning and came out with an X-ray. I still have to go back but otherwise it was fine. I will say I had an X-ray in 2023, tried to get a cleaning in 2024 a couple of months after the X-ray and again in 2025. Both times I was told they weren’t taking “new” people. As far as I was concerned, they were still my dentist so I called up once more now I’m 2026 and got another X-ray thinking it was a cleaning. Now I need to make another appointment. I was assuming they would have declined me again and I would have went with someone else. The staff was polite, it was fast, and I didn’t get done what I thought I would have but that doesn’t merit a 1-star, since I did finally get in and they were polite. I also want to let it be known they told me they were missing a person but now have two to help handle things. It is plausible but doesn’t help not having one’s teeth cleaned for years. I probably should have gone with someone else but I don’t know what my insurance covers and have an issue with making calls to accomplish much. One was usually enough for me, if even.

This was my first time back since I saw Dr. Dave in 2010. The rooms were clean, the assistants were very kind and the dentist was very very nice and gentle. I got x rays done and they were gentle with those as well which I appreciated. I got referred out to an endo so I didn’t receive any care today, but i’m going back for fillings in a few weeks and I don’t have much anxiety surrounding it because everyone was so kind today! I’m glad I chose to go back to westside!

I would leave 0 stars, but it won't let me submit the review, so 1 star it is. I am so upset by my latest interaction with the staff at West Side Dental. I recently had to change dentists because my husband's insurance changed. I chose to come here after some recommendations, but it was not a good choice. I showed up for my initial appointment and had x-rays and an exam done. I am aware that I have periodontal disease and because of that, I choose to get 3 cleanings a year to make sure my dental health is taken care of. When the dentist came in, he recommended (or so I thought) that I get a deep clean done. This service requires insurance approval, because it is not 100% covered and would require out of pocket expense for me. My last dentist was providing this service, but after 2 of them, stated I could go back to regular cleanings as long as I kept up with them. I mentioned this to the dentist, who stated he felt this was the right treatment for my case. When I hadn't heard back from my insurance or the dentist, I called the dentist to see if I could at least schedule a regular cleaning and was informed that I could not. The woman that answered the phone informed me that I was not able to get a regular cleaning and had to get the deep clean. I clarified with this staff member, asking as the patient, wasn't I able to decline services and choose what service I received. She told me no, I had to get this deep cleaning. I then asked her if they provided regular cleanings and her response was, Yes, but not for you. Obviously, I am very upset because it is so hard to get a dentist appointment in a timely manner and I feel like they have wasted my time. I now have to find another dentist and make another appointment and try to schedule a cleaning. I have never heard of a doctor demanding you get a procedure done when you choose not to. This just says to me that they want the extra money that the deep cleaning would give them, because they know the insurance will not cover it. As the patient, I have rights to decline services that I do not wish to have. But West Side Dental told me that if I want a regular cleaning, it will not happen there, I will have to go somewhere else. That is exactly what this staff member told me.

I truly hate leaving negative reviews, but after our experience, I feel it’s important to share this in hopes that it helps others and maybe encourages better care moving forward. My dad had dentures made here, and from the very moment he received them, he expressed that they did not feel right. Before we even left the office, he told the staff that the dentures were not aligning properly and were uncomfortable. Visually, it was clear something was off. The top dentures were not even straight in his mouth the front teeth were noticeably off to the side. The bottom dentures sat so far back in his mouth that they looked unnatural and made it extremely difficult for him to function comfortably. Because of how far back the bottom dentures were positioned, his upper teeth actually sat over the top of his bottom teeth, which only added to the discomfort and difficulty. Despite this, we were repeatedly told this was “normal.” Days went by, and nothing improved. He was in discomfort and unable to use them properly, so we returned to the office hoping for solutions and support. Instead, we were met with dismissive responses. Every concern we raised was brushed off with comments like “everyone is different” and “we do 250 of these a year, they align with them.” Even more concerning, at one point a very specific comment was made that “he didn’t pay for them,” referring to the fact that state insurance covered the cost. That comment was incredibly disheartening and made us feel as though the level of care and concern was affected by how the dentures were paid for. The tone throughout the visit felt unprofessional, unhelpful, and lacking empathy. Dentures are not a small or cosmetic issue they affect daily life, confidence, comfort, and the ability to eat and speak. When a patient is clearly saying something is wrong, they deserve to be heard and taken seriously, regardless of insurance or payment method. Ultimately, we felt we had no choice but to return the dentures and seek care elsewhere. This was a frustrating and disappointing experience, especially for something so important and personal. I hope this office reflects on how they handle patient concerns. Listening, compassion, and accountability go a long way and unfortunately, that was missing here.
