We've been bringing our three kids to Dr. Swami for more than 4 years now. Dr. Swami is thorough, knowledgeable, and incredibly friendly, always taking the time to explain everything and make sure the kids are comfortable. The staff and hygienists are patient, caring, and do an awesome job helping my kids feel relaxed. We highly recommend this practice to any family looking for exceptional pediatric dental care!

It was so nice to be in a practice that values customer service! The staff was kind and warm, the dentist explained what she was doing and why, showed me things she saw in my sons’ cleanings, and verified insurance coverage BEFORE doing any treatments. Really enjoyed our first visits today, and look forward to more preventative care with their practice.

This was my third time here for a cleaning and check-up, and I regret to say it'll likely be my last. My dentist has been fine each time I've gone, but the dental assistant in my latest cleaning was truly perplexing and left me feeling wholly unsatisfied, confused, and annoyed that one of my two annual cleanings felt like such a waste. It was pretty clear that the dental assistant was very new, from the moment he had trouble taking my x-rays (which was super uncomfortable) to the abrupt end to my actual cleaning. He didn't know how to take my blood pressure, placing the cuff in the completely wrong direction and area of my arm, as well as elevating my arm way too high. The other dental assistant and I had to tell him and adjust it ourselves. That felt like such an odd thing to get wrong. The other dental assistant was also trying to teach him when she was in the room, but even when she was feeding him the exact words to say to me (like, "The dentist will see you soon"), he mumbled them quietly and way too quickly in such an incomprehensible way that I had to ask him to repeat himself multiple times during my visit. While the dentist was checking my teeth and doing my filling, he kept messing up the suction, so anytime I tried to close my mouth to empty it of fluids, it ended up just spilling all over my neck and face because the suction wasn't engaged. This happened several times, and the dentist had to keep correcting and directing him. Then, during my cleaning, he barely pressed the brush to the surface of my teeth. I could barely feel any pressure and questioned if anything even got cleaned. Even worse, in between brushing, he'd wipe the actual brush all over my bib (which was JUST used to wipe the water off my face because he had screwed up suctioning earlier). That made me really uncomfortable, and I asked him if he could stop using the bib that was just all over my face to wipe off the brush that he was putting in my mouth. All through this, he was still periodically quietly mumbling directions to rinse that I still couldn't understand and had to ask him to repeat every time. I was supposed to get a fluoride treatment, too, at the end, but at that point, I truly couldn't trust him to even get that right, so I asked them to cancel it. When I went to pay, the woman at the front was alright. I asked her if the dental assistant was new or if it was his first day, and she said yes. I told her my cleaning wasn't a great experience at all. She didn't seem to know how to respond to that and carried on asking me if I wanted my receipt and if I wanted to book my next appointment. I told her I wasn't planning on coming back when I didn't have such a good cleaning. I know loads of people have had great experiences here, and I don't want to devalue that. For me, I've had okay experiences the other two times I've gone. And I will say, I've never felt pressured to get any procedures or treatments done. And even when I did get a filling replaced this past visit, she did it quickly and painlessly. I also understand that new people have to start somewhere. But if someone is that new and can't seem to perform basic tasks of their role, I'd at least expect more supervision or training in the room. It was just entirely bizarre and awkward. I just don't want to risk having yet another wasted cleaning in the future, and so, I'll have to find somewhere else to go.

FD of Buda saved my daughter! She woke up with a toothache and needed help right away. We called Family Denistry of Buda, and they worked her in within the hour! They were so kind, and she was out of pain quickly! In the meantime, I was able to complete the forms and provide payment over the phone. They worked efficiently and with care!! They are definitely her new dentist!! We highly recommend them!!
