I had such a great experience at this dental office! From the moment I walked in, everyone on the staff was so welcoming, friendly, and professional. They made me feel comfortable throughout my entire visit. The dentist and team were incredibly thorough, taking the time to explain everything clearly and making sure all of my questions were answered. I really appreciated how detail-oriented they were and how much they genuinely cared about providing the best care possible. I’m so glad I found this office and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist with an amazing staff and excellent care!
As quick as I am to leave a negative review when I’ve had a bad experience, I think it’s just as important to recognize the places that truly deserve praise. For starters, going to the dentist has always terrified me. I’ve had nothing but bad experiences over the years, so I wasn’t sure what to expect walking in. This was the first dental office where I genuinely felt welcomed. I didnt feel like just another patient being rushed through the process. Everyone took the time to explain everything clearly, which put me at ease. From the front desk staff, to the young lady who took my X-rays (I’m terrible with names), to Mia, and especially Dr. Overmeyer, every single person I interacted with was kind, patient, and genuinely caring. I know I have a long road ahead of me with my dental work, but for the first time, I’m actually looking forward to the journey. I’m confident I’m in great hands, and I’m excited to see the results. I can’t recommend this office enough. 10 outta 10 for me!
Best-run dental office I’ve ever been to! From the moment I walked in, everything was organized, efficient, and professional. Riya’s chairside manner was exceptional. I actually paused during my visit to compliment her because she was so thorough, methodical, and attentive to every detail. Dr. O is equally outstanding. She remembered me from my last visit years ago before I moved to GNV. That personal touch says a lot about her. If you’re looking for a dental office that combines outstanding clinical care with genuine hospitality, I highly recommend this team. They set the standard for what a dental practice should be.
Everyone I interacted with was super friendly and great at making sure I knew what was going on during the procedures. Shoutout to Riya for being so welcoming during the entire experience and also to Dr. Overmeyer and my hygienist Weixi - not only for being so caring during the process but also making sure I now understand the difference between "months" and "years". Will be returning!!
My first visit was and I immediately felt like I was in good hands. Raysa was so nice and pleasant and explained everything to me before it happened. I was comfortable and relaxed the entire time. This truly was the best dentist visit that I've ever had.
I had a great experience at Dentists of Maitland and would highly recommend this clinic. A special thank you to hygienist Weixi for outstanding professionalism and care — everything was done thoroughly and gently. Also, I truly appreciate Dr. Jessica Overmeyer for her attentiveness and kindness. It’s refreshing to meet a doctor who focuses on what’s actually needed without pushing unnecessary procedures. The entire team creates a very friendly and calm atmosphere, which makes the visit comfortable and stress-free. The clinic itself is equipped with modern technology and maintained at an exceptional level of cleanliness. Thank you all for such a positive experience!
After over 10 years of consistent six-month checkups with my previous dentist, I was forced to switch to this office due to insurance changes. My first red flag was the probing, which was much more painful than usual. They immediately recommended a deep cleaning, which I found very odd considering my prior dentist never once mentioned a need for such a procedure during my most recent six-month checkup. Despite my intuition, I let them convince me to proceed—assuming that either my previous dentist hadn’t been thorough or this office was simply being more proactive. The follow-up was scheduled only three months later (which was unusual, since my previous dentist always scheduled cleanings every six months). Unfortunately, this visit was even worse. The hygienist, Weixi, was so aggressive with the scraping that I told her the cleaning was painful, yet she simply dismissed my discomfort. The physical aftermath was unacceptable. The day after the appointment, I developed three red sores with white centers inside my cheek where she had allowed the vacuum to painfully suction pinch my skin. By the third day, I noticed a small sore on the side of my tongue—an area that should not even be affected during a cleaning. Because it was constantly rubbing against my teeth, it became more painful with each passing day, and by the sixth day, I reached the point where I couldn’t even talk without sounding different. That same day, I discovered another sore on my upper gum line on the opposite side of my mouth. In total, I had at least five sores, though I was only able to photograph the ones with the red and white centers. It took until the ninth day before I could finally eat and talk normally again. This experience confirmed for me that the hygienist is far too rough and that these injuries were a direct result of her technique, not just a “state of mind.” Given the physical damage and the sudden change in my treatment plan, I now seriously question the medical necessity of the aggressive procedures recommended here. I never had these issues with my prior dentist, and I will be looking for a new provider—or even returning to my old one, even if they are out of network.
