Family Dental Center of Sebring

Went to my first appointment this week and my experience was awesome. As a person that's terrified with just hearing the word dentist the staff was amazing including the doctor. She was very helpful in explaining to me what they were going to do and the best thing, it wasn't painful at all 😁. Looking forward to my next visit..

You have got to try Dr. Yania Carralero! Her and her staff are absolutely the best! You always feel at home! They are kind, very invested and help you with the best options and they are VERY affordable! They aren’t about the money they are all about you and your care!!!

Awesome and fast service. The Dr explained the procedure patiently and answered questions I didn’t even think to ask. Also helped me out immensely with the cost of the visit and the future work.

Not sure where to begin. First off, I should have known that something was suspicious when they had 101 reviews with every single one being 5 stars. I was not aware that you can pay people to leave reviews for your business and that is clearly what these people did. I was in search of a new dentist and I picked this place simply because of the five-star reviews across the board. When you go through and read the reviews, You can tell by the wording and by clicking on the people that left the reviews that most of the people live in Miami and the only review they have for Sebring is this dentist. The wording in each review is also all very similar. Next thing, after being brought in the back, The first step is sitting with a front office lady who convinces you that you need to buy some sort of membership. Being the people pleaser that I am and not wanting to fuss I signed up for it and paid the $300 up front. Then the X-rays began and I understand people are new and need practice but after what felt like 30 pictures because she could not get the correct angle it was getting a little old. The dentist then came in and with a mirror looked in my mouth for about 5 seconds and said "she needs a deep cleaning". I was confused by this because I had been maintaining cleanings every 3 months prior to going to the dentist. I then was told to go back and sit with the lady who signed me up for the membership and she told me that to do the deep cleaning the following week if I signed up for their Cherry Card and financed my cleaning that it would be $1,371.00, or I could pay cash for $800. I left at that point and my gut and instincts told me that I was being scammed. I then called them when I got home and told them that I could not afford that price and I would have to cancel my appointment. They then offered to do the cleaning for $500 cash which they would divide into two payments and two sessions. I told the girl that I was a little confused because in order to know if I need a deep cleaning I've always had my pockets measured. They did not measure my pockets at any point. She then stated that when I came in for my deep cleaning she would measure the pockets prior to that. How in the world would they know I need a deep cleaning if they never even measured the pockets?? At that point I decided to get a second opinion. I called them and told them I would like a second opinion and if they could please email my x-rays over to the other dentist I was going to go to. They told me I needed to come in to do so. I went in the following morning to sign one paper. Because I was choosing to go somewhere else, The front lady decided that she would just tell me to have a seat. I ended up waiting over 20 minutes just to sign a piece of paper because she chose to be petty. Then when I said I was actually going to the appointment the same day in the afternoon could she make sure to email the x-rays right away, she told me that there is a 72-hour notice but she would try. I went to Sunshine Family dentistry in Lake Placid and told them what was going on. The new dental office called for me and asked again if they could please send the x-rays. They told her the same thing about the 72 hours. Then about 10 minutes later she came in and said "oh wow they sent them". The problem there is that they did not send them properly and from what the office said they had sent screenshots of my x-rays!!! They could not even read them and had to take more x-rays of my mouth for the ones they could not read. Now the fun part, they came in and checked my mouth THOROUGHLY., including my pockets. And guess what, surprise surprise, I absolutely do not need a deep cleaning!!! I need a regular cleaning and some periodontal maintenance and my price to do that is $289.00!!!!!! And while I was at the new dentist they were actually fixing work from this place that was not done correctly on someone else. I never ever post bad reviews but I could not believe that this place can be this fraudulent and dishonest. Please please do not go to this dentist.

Wonderful! Staff was so helpful and patient. Even when I realized I gave them the wrong information for my insurance, they were very kind and patient with me while I figured out the right info for them. They walked me through any questions I had about my teeth or oral hygiene. I felt very heard with my concerns and confident after leaving that I would be taking the best care of myself. Staff is very great, Thanks team!
