Avoid this practice if you value your time, clear communication, or quality patient care. This was, without question, one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a dental office. I scheduled an extraction on 7/16, and at no point during the scheduling process was I informed that I would first need a consultation before the procedure. Had that been communicated upfront, I could have made an informed decision instead of wasting an entire afternoon. My appointment was at 2:00 PM, yet I didn't see the doctor until 3:15 PM. During that time, there was little to no communication about what was happening or why the delay was so excessive. To make matters worse, there isn't even guest Wi-Fi available while you're left waiting. I had already sent my dental X-rays from my primary dentist, but the office took nearly an hour just to locate and retrieve them. After finally being seen, I was then told I needed to pay for another CT scan (around $400) before they could proceed with the extraction, despite already providing diagnostic imaging. Instead of receiving the treatment I scheduled, I was presented with another expensive charge. The front desk experience was equally disappointing. The heavy-set woman wearing glasses at reception was dismissive, condescending, and unprofessional when I raised concerns about the lack of communication and the way the office was handling the appointment. Having previously worked in a dental practice myself, I know this is not how patients should be treated. Rather than acknowledging the poor experience, the only resolution offered was a refund for the visit and a small discount on the CT scan. What was most concerning was that the office closes at 4:00 PM, yet around 3:30 PM staff kept insisting they could "still try" to fit in my extraction. After waiting over an hour past my appointment time, I had absolutely no confidence in having an oral surgery rushed simply because the office was about to close. The lack of transparency, poor communication, excessive wait time, unexpected costs, and unprofessional customer service made this an incredibly frustrating experience. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this practice to think twice and seek care from an office that values honesty, respect, and patient care from the very beginning.

Dr Luis and Claudia did a very great job, they made me feel at home and my procedure was very smooth and fast, I’d recommend this place to anybody. We thank God for people like Dr Luis and Claudia.

Never, never recommend this people I have a bad experience with them make appointment 7 am and go out 9:30 am for just clean teeth they push me for pay more another services not necessary I have my own dental insurance they want is take more money the insurance policy I am not stupid men after 2 hours got out they didn’t work nothing and took my money 136 dollar. I need to go my work the team a lot people but no very good service that was my first time there bad experience. Is terrible on this time every business want is money money money but don’t pay attention customers service. I feel they took my money. Be careful new people.

The process for everything was terrible. I almost didnt come back to finish my son treatment. When it was time to confirm appointment and get service I asked for the xrays and they interrogated and asked me questions on why I needed my own son xrays. And I never received it. After four trys and call backs I was finally able to get my xrays but was surprised no panoramic xray was done. When I call to get them they dont ever answer the phone and when I get a call back they say they couldn't help but will find the correct department and get a call back but never call me back. This happend multiple times as i call back multiple times for answers. When the actual service came at the end they said oh now we need to come back for more work which wasn't discussed in first meeting. Which is why xrays were requested. I gave 2 stars because the actual service was good the lady doing the work was nice and informative but the whole process besides that was terrible.

I had a very disappointing experience at Maryland Dental Specialty Group. The staff was extremely rude and unhelpful from the moment I arrived. There were especially two employees that stood out. Their behavior were aggressive to where I had to advocate for myself and addressed how I was being treated. The checked in, process was not smooth and the lack of tack fullness. The rudeness was unbelievable and unbecoming a professional; especially when the waiting area is virtually nonexistent in the tight cramped space. Throughout my visit, the tone and attitude from multiple staff members were not only insulting but was dismissive as well. There was no effort to make patients feel welcome or respected. It’s frustrating to go somewhere for care and be treated with such attitude and lack of courtesy. They act as if they won't need care at some point in their lifetime! I expect basic professionalism and respect, especially in a healthcare setting. Unfortunately, this office fell far short of that standard. I will not be returning and would caution others to be aware of how poorly patients are treated here. This seems to be SOP based on the negative Google reviews. The staff refused to check me out nor provide any written information as it pertains to the outcome of my consultation! It's as if the consultation never happened because I have zero documentation of what Dr. Tack summary of said evaluation!

Then they set me up with another doctor that I saw once. They cancelled a follow up I had with him on June 6 and rescheduled me for July 18. I called a week ago to confirm this appointment and they said it was still on the schedule. Well, it's July 18 an I just got here and they're telling me my appointment is actually on August 1 which is bullshit because nobody called me to reschedule or ask me if I could do August 1. The office manager even went back to listen to the call I made on to confirm today's appointment and now they're apologizing because "they don't know what happened." In addition they are always running late by more than an hour so don't plan your day around them because it will get messed up. Another time I came here for an appointment and there was a handwritten sign on the door that said they were closed because the wifi was down. Nobody called me about that, either.
